Hey guys just checked the USCIS website and I got an RFE. I never submitted the letters of intent (good for nothing lawyer) so I am pretty sure that’s what it is for. I am wondering what the average time between VSC receiving my letters of intent to NOA2. Thanks for the info.

Wait for the hardcopy to know exactly the reason of the RFE, it can be more than the letters of intent. Do you have them both ready? :) After you reply, it can take a week to more than a month. It's really random. I've seen some people who got their NOA2 in a week, some that got answer 2 months after!

Yes, I have them already done. I wish I would have found this website first; would have saved me time and money. Everything else they requested was in the original application, except for the 2 letters of intent. Hopefully they we get the approval fairly quickly.

I am not sure, but I think ours took about 7 weeks. The RFE was dated on November 14th. We sent the info back in under 2 weeks. We got our NOA2 the second week of January.

We officially filed the first week of July making is 184 days between NOA1 and NOA2 and our interview is scheduled for next month at 245 days from NOA1.

Even after the interview, there is still a wait for the visa. In our country of choice, it normally takes a week between the two but I read of one report last year that took 6 weeks from the interview until visa was in hand.

Please be aware that the milestones are just markers along the way--they are not the "destination".

I got notified via SMS on a Saturday of the RFE sent the day before. I had the RFE that Monday. Your wait to find out may not be long.

So here is my exact timeline. We' ll see if it helps2/11 -- SMS and email TNT I have an RFE coming.2/13 --The RFE arrives. (I hadn't sent the proper proof that my divorce was final -- easy to obtain the document) ordered it online same night.2/16 -- The documents arrive. I ordered 3 copies, and paid for overnight delivery. I drove to FedEx and sent the original RFE with the proper document, before the nightly cutoff.2/17 -- The RFE Response arrives about 10:30 am at VSC2/24. -- SMS and email that they have received my RFE Response, and are reviewing it.

So best case, Monday for an SMS of NOA2 very likely be a week fom today. Ps, today is 4 months.good work VSC.

So I still haven’t received the RFE letter. The USCIS website said they mailed me out the RFE letter on February 24th. I called USCIS last Friday and they told me allow 2 weeks for delivery. I am not sure why it is taking this long. Has anyone had to wait this long to receive an RFE letter?

My VJers friends,

every where I read others posts, they got approval in few days after sending the RFE reply! What happened to mine? I'm going blind for spending all the day reading VJ and the comments. I really don't know how long should I wait?!?! They don't even update our status in the USCIS website! I wish s/o could stop me checking all these website for few days. I just can't help it.

You guy have any idea, how long MORE? :help:

Is there a good way to search RFE times on this site? I know we can look for timelines and see the time from NOA1 to NOA2, but what about times from RFE to NOA2?

My two cents is that they received my RFE reply on 2/16/12, and I'm still waiting for a reply (and going completely crazy in the meantime).

K-1 Process:
8/26/2011 - I-129f mailed
8/31/2011 - NOA1
2/03/2012 - RFE
2/09/2012 - RFE received through US Mail
2/14/2012 - RFE response mailed
2/16/2012 - RFE response received by CSC
2/17/2012 - Touch
3/08/2012 - NOA2
I-129f was approved in 190 days from NOA1 date.

3/15/2012 - NVC received
3/19/2012 - NVC left

3/21/2012 - Embassy received
3/28/2012 - Packet 3 received by beneficiary

...

01/28/2013 - Married

03/11/2013 - Sent AOS packet

05/17/2013 - EAP and AP approved in 66 days

10/26/2013 - Green Card Production email notification

I-129F requires ONE passport style photo of Petitioner (YOU) and ONE passport style photo of the Beneficiary (your FINANCEE). Not two of you.

I saw your reply to my post, I just reread the I129F form, I agree that it only asks, but all I know was my FRE requested I send 2 passport photos of my self, which I sent.
