Kristen, it is not very often to meet someone as kind and patient as you! Who knows what's biting Jasal.

We get criticized for "bitching and whining" and now we're not allowed to be hopeful or optimistic either? Are we supposed to be completely blase and unemotional on this journey?!

I have been touched 3 days in a row after they received my second RFE. I know 'touches mean nothing' but its impossible to not get excited!!

Good luck to all. :D

I've noticed that touches lately have generally turned into approvals or RFE's pretty quickly. If you dont get approval after your second touch, about a week or so later is when you get the notice of the RFE...

It seems like the processing times have really started picking up now that the majority of the cases that were delayed by IMBRA have been processed.

Good Luck!

Bill

Thanks for your kind words, Michelle. :)

I'm with you! Hope is so important in this process--or any other that involves a lot of waiting. And it IS impossible not to get excited when you see dates changing and know that someone's at least had their hands on your documents!!

Yeah, this whole "let's just be stoic until we're approved so that we don't annoy anyone" bit is really not workable...leastways, not for me! Perosnally, I haven't figured out a way to eliminate those pesky emotions yet...Maybe next week...

January 2004: Met Laurent at the Bibliothèque nationale in Paris

February 2004: We became an actual couple

January 29th, 2006: I left France to return to the United States--AWFUL to say goodbye!

June 2006: Finally convinced Laurent that a K-1 visa would be more time-effective than trying to get an H-1

August 1st, 2006: The K-1 petition is finally in the mail and on its way to Nebraska...WooHoooo!! And yes, I remembered to attach the check! :-)

August 3rd, 2006: USPS online tracking shows that my petition (sent certified) was received at the NSC at 5:05am

August 14th, 2006: NOA1 received USPS!! (I-129F recv'd at CSC: 8/4; NOA date: 8/10; last touched: 8/11)

October 2nd, 2006: I MISTAKENLY thought we had an approval...False alarm...Back to waiting...

October 3rd, 2006: TOUCHED!!

October 4th, 2006: REALLY AND TRULY APPROVED!!! Email notification lists 10/3 as the NOA2 date.

Later that same day: TOUCHED...AGAIN! Hope that means I'm in a cozy box and moving to NVC this week...

October 10th, 2006: Received official NOA2 via snail mail.

October 19th, 2006: Case received at NVC!! AWESOME!!

October 20th, 2006: Case forwarded to Paris!! DHL says two shipments were headed that way. Must be in there somewhere...

October 27th, 2006: Received official receipt letter from NVC via USPS.

I'd say you have waited long enough to feel any emotion you want at this point! I know I speak for everyone here when I say I hope the next "emotion" is one of joy for finally receiving that NOA2! (F)

erfoud44.jpg

24 March 2009 I-751 received by USCIS

27 March 2009 Check Cashed

30 March 2009 NOA received

8 April 2009 Biometric notice arrived by mail

24 April 2009 Biometrics scheduled

26 April 2009 Touched

...once again waiting

1 September 2009 (just over 5 months) Approved and card production ordered.

Most of the people griping when you whine, or try to put a damper on your hopes, are the tripple plantum members that are already married and in the process of AOS or bringing over family members. A while back after getting criticized for my whishing my appliation would move faster, just for the heck of it, I went back and read and reposted some of the 'platnum members' posts from when he was at my stage of the game. His continual whining and crying at the time made what I nad to say seem very mild lol!

He got upset when I did that, but hey - sometimes these 'old timers' forget what it was like to be us.

Ooh yeah I've seen that before - told to quit whining by someone who had filed DCF and got from I-130 to Greencard in ONE DAY!!!

I guess I'll just have to look forward to when this is ancient history and the emotional rollercoaster ride is all forgotten!!

And thanks for the other posts of support - they truly do help!
