My petition is also at CSC from Feb 6. Let's do an experiment. I'll not put in a "service request" right now, and we'll see if those requests really have any effect on processing times.

NOA1: February 6, 2012

NOA2: August 9, 2012

Hey, just wanted to let you guys know, there were 2x Feb 2 approvals yesterday, and one Feb 13 (SO CLOSE TO MINE ... siiiiigh).

They are moving. Just REALLY, REALLY slowly.

Yeah slowly, but I just saw a VSC approval for Feb 6 getting close to mine as well(Feb 14)

Just contacted CSC and the agent was able to open a service request due to the case been outside the normal processing times, will be in touch within 15 days, LOL. But at least the system did allow the agent to open the service request, something that was not allowing them to do. My paperwork was form Feb 6

What number did you contact to actually speak to someone? We called the central number today, our case is at VSC, but couldn't find an option that led us to a human!!

We filed in mid-February 2012 and we haven't recieved our NOA2 yet either. Waiting impatiently and the more we wait, the longer it seems to take. Have a question as well. Can I go visit my fiance in Canada while the petition is in process? I may have an opportunity to do so soon and I haven't seen him for 6 months. Missing him a lot.

Yes you can go visit. I have been 4 times since sending in our petion. I have been stopped by immigration all 4 times and that is unusual as I travel all over the world and I have never been stopped, so it has to do with this process. First two times alot of info was taken about my fiancee and I and about my travels to see her. It was all entered into the computer. They knew i petioned for a visa. But no issues other than alot of questions and one time 2 times a quick look in my bags, which has never happened either. Have a great triip and no worries..

Hang in there, NVC has been slow but seems like it might be speeding up. I think his process taking sonlong has to do with her being Rusiian and using a lawyer, I'm just saying. They have been together for 7 years and lived together in other countries so I would have thought it would have been a slam dunk...

Same number, once you hear the status of your case select option 3 to report a problem with your case and you will get someone on the line very quickly

Yes you can. I (the Canadian) have been down to the US to see him multiple times - no questions asked. He's flying up to see me / attend our Jack and Jill party in September. Bring a photocopy of your paperwork with you, just in case they ask to see it, and also, if your Canadian comes down to see you, have them bring proof of ties to Canada (ie paystubs, note from employer, mortgage or rent agreement, etc), just in case they ask for it (they've never asked me though)

All of you are wonderful...Thank you for the info

Everyday I tried to encourage myself and my fiance that we are going to get NOA 2 soon, but every day is a disappointment for us, the only thing i can rely on the God now, this is not what i expected. There is a reason why God let us to wait, that's what i told myself, We will get it, maybe really 6-7 months
