After this I'm REALLY leaving, I promise! Just poked my head in, only to be hit with a really major case of "I have it SO MUCH HARDER than you" which is ample proof that I should stay gone. Mary, I'm glad you find the idea that he can just come here and hang out until the interview comforting, but a lot of us would be thrilled out of our minds to have that option, vs. having loved ones who have no way of ever setting foot in the US at all anytime ever without this fricking fiance visa.

Be well, everyone. I'll be back at some point.

wow.gif

That's the only response to that I'll give, as it doesn't deem worthy of any other response.

... vs. having loved ones who have no way of ever setting foot in the US at all anytime ever without this fricking fiance visa.

true :crying: :crying: :crying:

and also add $2000 and 20+ hours flight (40 hours both ways) for me to go to my fiancee's country :( not to mention the hassle of getting couple of weeks off from work :( (which I assume most of us has to deal with this)

Our story: K1 -> AOS -> ROC -> Naturalization (2012 - current)

Hey Cori & Rob, L & T, thank you for your replies. I won't worry about that expiry date thing then! Yes, it's the thing at the bottom of the page. Expiry date! Like we were talking about a box of cornflakes or something. lol!

I just found out that my service center is Vermont, lol! But now you guys are saying there isn't a delay there after all, so that's great to hear. Good luck to everyone, and congrats to all the people who received their NOA2s. It's just a matter of time for all of us. (L)

If you want to know what the VSC has been working on, check out I-821's (make sure you set it to the VSC as well)

It's not that the people aren't doing anything. I think it has a lot to do with Sudan

I just wanted to send hugs and strength to everyone who's been feeling down worrying about the NOA2. I've been feeling stressed about it too ever since my fiancé was laid off last month, wondering whether we'll be delayed or snagged by his now inadequate income. But it's been making me think about how lucky I am to have found someone that I love so much that I'd willingly go through all this to be with him, and he feels the same way about me. I have to say that all this waiting, although it's been hard, has made our relationship stronger and deeper. So I'm reminding myself to keep being overjoyed about that. We're all so blessed to be experiencing the love of our lives, and to have something so good with our partners that it can overcome so much time and so much distance - and so much endless paperwork! We'll be together with our loved ones one way or another, we are already with them now, in the true sense - and that's what counts. The rest is just details.

Time to join all the other February filers!

I'm not sure if it was a good idea that I've seen Igor's list and now checking it daily : o)

I sure hope VSC gets some help. Our congressman called the VSC and the response was that it was just very busy.

And then there are the ones that get approved in one month right?

I think we should have a reunion party next year for all february filers :D

Well once upon a time I was extremely bored so I went through over 10,000 EAC numbers on USCIS website, found around 500 numbers connected with I129F, done a spread sheet with those numbers and every day I am checking them one by one to update our peeps here and give them some hope as what we see on VJ is a only a small % of all the petitions received by USCIS. Also some VJers do not update their timelines, so the updates here aren't 100% accurate to what's really happening at the USCIS office :)

wow, sorry for butting in to the feb boards, but i like to keep an eye on my friends' progress, and was so sad to see this post. mary's original post was so positive, she even ended it with a beautiful picture to try and cheer everyone up, i don't understand your reaction at all. it's not a pitty competition, and no one should be made to feel bad about trying to find light in their own personal darkness...

good luck to EVERYONE still waiting, your time is coming! :luv:

Thanks, Sabi. I made my own spreadsheet, but just for the day of my application (2/29). I guess that doesn't really give me the best sample, but I'll be excited when I see others from my day getting approved. I'm definitely a fan of the USCIS receipt game :P
