It can take longer than 2 weeks. kitkat1 comes to mind, and I think her case took 21 days to get to NVC.

I only offer advice - not even legal. Just the plain and simple kind.

It took NVC only days to recieve our case, however, we were coming out of Vermont. Apparently, CSC sends all approved cases out in batches, so it can take 2, sometimes even 4 weeks for them. Were you in the group that was transferred to CSC?

I THINK that on the books, the service centers say between 2 - 4 weeks for cases to be sent to NVC after approval.

Call them or e-mail them and give them your NOA1 number. If you call, talk to a live operator.

I went through this process twice, both before IMBRA. Each one went from CSC through NVC in a week or less. However, a lot depends upon the country of your fiancee. Some countries have more difficulty providing information about fiancees and there are some that are large fraud countries. IMBRA has definitely slowed things down but the processing times should begin to reduce at NVC when their backlog gets caught up.

My advice is to get the remaining documents prepared and plan for the final stage. Check out the processing time for the U.S. embassy on your country. Get your house in order, literally. And prepare for a nice change in your life.
