Black and white is fine too.

It is fine but when i did black and white some of the certificate did not show up every well - including the little gold seal stamp.

When i re-copyed it in colour it made a much nicer copy and showed a lot more details of the seal and parts of the certificate looked much clearer. Probably avoided an RFE by having the colour copy which was much clearer than the black and white copy.

Just a normal photocopy of the certified marriage certificate you received from the court is all that is required. If you so happen to get an interview, bring your court copy with you.
