Many times - case complete and final review complete timeticks occur on the same day.

Some times, alas, this is not the case.

So, knowing when/if the final review is completed, is important, as

once it's finished, the casefile is lobbed into the scheduling queue.

Queues is important, you betcha !

My interview is scheduled and I got the interview letter already. :)

Still no case number but I have a question. Once you pay the AOS and IV bills and can print out the cover sheets, do you have to write anything on the cover sheets or sign them or anything? I have all my documents ready now and want to send them to my parents in the US because mail from Paraguay takes 3-4 weeks to get to the US. Then once the bills are paid my dad can print out the cover sheets and send the packages. Would that work?

that would work!

re: signing the coversheets - nope.

or no ? :D

You don't have to sign anything on the cover sheets. They're basically just a barcode with your case number and some text that says INCLUDE THIS SHEET WITH YOUR PACKAGE! So yeah, once you pay your fees, you can elect to email the cover sheets to your parents, and they can add them to the packages.

Nothing that I know of. On Jan 24, I was told case was complete and in the queue for interview scheduling. Then I stopped calling for a few days, and I just received the interview letter by email!

Yeah, the post from Australia is terrible. It took Australia post 8 days to get one of our packages to the US, and that was the most expensive ($40+) service that is supposedly premium express. They also only have 1 or 2 tracking events. If I was doing it over, I would look into using DHL. Might be worth considering for you if you have RFE or anything else to send. Best of luck for a speedy process!

How many spare photos do you have? You must take 2 to the interview, plus 2 more if your NVC ones were not the right size, I'd play safe and take 5 :P

Yeah I have 5 spare american style photos. I have a couple of spare ones for my wife but they are Australian size. She's in the states now, so if they need some of her of the correct size, I'll be doing some leet photoshopping!

No photoshopping needed: http://www.epassportphoto.com/ I used this site for all my photos (except for the I-130 since I hadn't heard of this site until afterwards).

I really hope you get an interview email before the weekend, is it possible?

I wish NVC will respond that quick. But considering the volume of transactions that they do each day, i guess it will take to get that interview email 1-2 weeks from case complete. :)

I hope you will get your case number too, soon. If you have the case number, everything will just be quick.

It's very possible to get an interview date scheduled a day or two after case complete. I've seen it happen on VJ every now and then. But, yes, usually it is 1-2 weeks on average for most consulates/embassies.

How I wish I'm one of those lucky few who get an interview date a day or two after case complete. After reading your post I immediately grabbed my phone and called NVC but still to no avail. :( I'll call back again next week. I hope they can give me my interview date by then. Thanks a bunch Saylin!
