CONCORD, N.H. -- A bill before the legislature would let people refuse services to same-sex couples based on religious or conscience reasons.

HB 1264 does not specifically mention same-sex marriage, but it would grant immunity from civil lawsuits to business owners who do not want to do business with gay couples planning their weddings.

"In other words, we're not going to force a Rabbi to have a Nazi function in his synagogue. We don't do those things. We don't force people against their will to provide these. I completely agree with it. This is the Live Free Or Die State. We should be free to do business with who we want," said Republican Rep. Frank Sapareto of Derry.

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

I have no problem with this. The government cannot legislate beliefs on people. Pro-choice MEANS pro-choice on everything.

No, but it can, and should, legislate against discrimination

In the public domain yes, it should. However it should not dictate who a private business can and cannot serve. If a private business wants to keep a certain race, gender, sexuality out, then they should be able to do so.

If a business is successful by being racist, then so be it. That should be their choice. If they're racist and not successful because people find them disgusting, well they made their choice and failed because of it. The market works as it should if people would let it do so.

Libs don't like liberty and personal freedoms. They, not unlike the Bolsheviks, like to control anyone and everyone.

Why?

I hope this bill passes.

If it does, you can expect to see discrimination in other areas as well.

Well, I'm guessing they'll just have to get over it. Discrimination is simply unacceptable.

Perhaps New Hampshire ought to consider a new state motto: Be a bigot or move.

Bigot is a word that libs like to cry too often when they don't get their way. Eventually there's going to be a revolution in this country...it's coming and when it hits there's going to be some changes in this country...big changes. And those whiny libs that like to cry bigot at the drop of the hat...well their going to find out what happens when you push normal Americans too far.

Revolution? The average person won't even get up off the couch to change the channel if the remote is broken. Eventually there is going to be a lot of whining and complaining about how we need a revoution, but it won't go much further than that.

Anyway's, if you are seeing the word bigot a lot, that should be telling you something.
