cancel soon.

Have your husband to follow-up on this. Most states require you to send updated paper work in every 6 months. Check with the caseworker on this. If her policy is cancel, you'll will have to re-apply and it will take time to have it re-install. That will mean she will not have this extra coverage for a period of time.

im curious about what the status of the f1 visa is/was. never got resolved/answered in the old thread from last month.

I too, was wondering what was going on with the student visa status. IMO, then (with that post) if the DSO had not cancelled it (read further down in this thread, OP states the DSO DID cancel the student visa) then she should have jumped on the next plane out.

But hey - now she's on some other path - I hope it all works out the way she wants it to.

Okay...

Here is what I did and had my case expedited though the USCIS, NVC and just got off the phone with the Embassy, it will be expedited at the embassy as well.

I called and requested the expedite based on military deployment. Within 3 hours I had a RFE for my divorce decree (I only sent the final judgment) they said to fax the full document to them. I went and got a certified copy and faxed it as requested within 2 days along within a letter from my commander. About 13 days later my case was approved at the USCIS and forwarded to the NVC. After two weeks I had not heard anything from the NVC so I called and requested my case be expedited due to military deployment. I then emailed a copy of a letter (i don't have orders yet) from my commander to the NVC. Within 2 days my expedite was approved and 3 days later (without paying any fee's or sending any documents (864 and so on) to the NVC) my case left the NVC for the Embassy in Seoul! I just got off the phone with the Embassy in Seoul. They case will be expedited through the Embassy processing as well and I should be able to pick our interview date.

Stay on top of them, make sure you have all your bases covered. The day my package left the NVC I mailed everything to my spouse in Korea, so she has everything ready to go on the drop of a dime. Just waiting on one police certificate (should come next week) and the medical and we will do the interview.

Hope this helps!

First he would have to join the Military and then get deployment orders.

I am going to guess that could take some time.

well, second, when reading it again - one MIGHT get the concept that it pays to stay on top of the expedite stuff, and it pays to expedite at nvc as well.

But that's just what one MIGHT get, when reading.

Have USCitizen Spouse use a Telephone, call in, get an ISO at USCIS.

Once a day, circa 3:30 PM EST.
