Ok as i have stated in previous posts we quested expedite with our I-130 packet due to our daughter's health issues. I told my husband to call mondsy to see if they had received and we going to work or it. They said to call back friday because they did not have our stuff in the system. We called today he spoke with a tier two who said we should hear an answer hopefully by monday b he got no referal number. I heard we need one. Is it because we did not place the exoedite by phone or are they not doi g the right thing? Im freaking out, my daughter is soo sick. The tier two also said that if we are approved for expedite our petition should be adjucted in no more than 2 weeks. Anyone have experience with this?

Looks like you just filed i-130 this month.

Majority of the people are still waiting over 4, 5, even 6 months and still no NOA2. It has been 5 months for me and nothing yet...

I can personally say that your reason for expediting your case is valid but USCIS may not think so.

I hope you get expedited.

I think you should get response from USCIS in 1-2 weeks.

Best of Luck!

We filed an expedite via phone with USCIS, they didnt ask for any proof, just took down the reason and then said to call back in a week, before we even got a chance to call back my NOA2 came in the post, we were just under 5 months into the process when we filed for an expedite so i dont know if the expedite is what got the petition approved or if they were almost done with the case anyways. We didnt have any referal numbers or anything like that though, we simply called them and they said they would pass the info onto someone else and to get back to them. Since you have only just filed i think the best thing to do is just be as patient as possible, i know its hard! Just follow there instructions to the letter and hopefuly you will hear something soon!

Im asuming you are going to want to expedite through out the whole process like we have so when you get to the NVC stage make sure to keep all the relevent documents to re send to them so you can get expedited as soon as possible :) We got through the NVC in about 2-3 weeks. Best of luck!

We called for expedite for different reasons after 4 months of waiting at USCIS. Violence erupted in my husbands area and we were able to call USCIS request expedite.. yes we got a referral number and they sent us an email saying they would be considering the expedite. About 4-6 days later or so we received a notice they did approve our expedite and would be looking at our petition. It still took about 3-4 weeks or so to have the approval for our petition.

I hope you do get approval soon! Good luck!

Give it about 3 weeks from 20 JAN 2011. Then call in, get a Tier 2 REP.

I assume you had 'EXPEDITE' written in big red letters on the outside of the packet.

It goes to a different queue at the lockbox, then subsequently a different queue at a service center.

IMO, it's not been enough time to be opened at a service center - but it may have gotten through the expedite queue at the lockbox.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

I understand you have been waiting but i dont think you have a6 month old baby with severe health issues. Im not trying to put anyone down but my reasons to get this expedite are serious . If you have something that needs attention then expedite if it wasnt my daughter i would have no issues waiting it sucks but it is part of the process.

Yes i did in the envelope, paper folder where all papers were in, put letter explaining expedite needs. All i wanted was an answer that they actually got the expedite request and were going to consider. I did not expect to be approved in a week even though my husband and i have been living together in the US since 09 which is different then most cases.

So yes he could come and get her andshe would be stuck at daycare? Who wouldaccept a sick child that hasa feeding tube? We have no family in the state and my husband cannot stop working.

Ifthat option was plausible we would have done it. We depend on public health here which is terrible. They gave my daughter a medicine that affected her neurologically. So yes everybody had their issue but a sick baby is not an easy thing.
