i just spoke to DOS and they said visa was issued today!!! embassy dude was just making me panic for no reason... these people really need to learn that this our whole lives they are talking about, they need to be careful with the language - suggesting something may be wrong just because you don't know the answer is a sucky way to do customer service!!

here's to more fears being allayed today, and everyone getting the good news they are waiting for :)

Just got our interview date!!! October 10!! I'm so excited :)

Congrats! You'll be in the country by November 1st! In time for thanksgiving!

Yup! Plus my sister's birthday is on Halloween, then my sister (same one) is getting married on November 17, then it's Thanksgiving, then Christmas -- a lot going on around the same time. I'm so excited to be moving back to the US, and I'm double excited that I get to bring my fiance with me. I absolutely love Chicago in the fall, hope we have a mild winter though. :P

Thanks all for the congrats -- we are so excited. My fiance's parents are going into, what he calls, "emo mood" -- they dropped by our house today (we live on the other side of the city from them) just to bring donuts to my fiance, lol!
