we are in a spot of trouble. it seems like our NOA2 letter got sent to my fiancee's old address. She moved from the apartment, notified the post office about a change of address about 2 weeks now and changed the address on USCIS online July 30, now we are hearing that if the post office dont return the letter to uscis for them to send it to the new address, we are gonna be charged $400 just to get the NOA2 letter back. :(

Listen,

I just moved too, and although I've not gotten my NOA2 yet here's what I've prepared in case of this BS. mad.gif

Print the online confirmation. USCIS ALSO actually sent me a confirm saying they got my address change. (hopefully you all got that too!), I also called in, spoke to a rep AND sent a formal letter. I've read on the site that you can show them proof of having changed your address and they won't charge you if it's their fault. Now...I am sure this is easier said than done, but you better believe if my NOA2 goes to the wrong place, the shiz will hit the fan if they think they are going to try and charge me. I've got written proof up to the wazoo.

Good luck!!!

Happy Monday all! I love seeing good news on here regarding interviews and stuff. We are still waiting for ours but I'm on a "don't complain/be positive" attitude this week (except for complaining that HBO changed to HBO Latino and now I can't watch True Blood in English on Sundays -wah!) and right now I'm hoping that Ernesto only drops rain on us and nothing else. I'm super scared of storms/possible hurricanes so we will see...

I keep watching this big orange/purple blob move closer to us...one of the outer pieces of the storm. Looks like it will be raining here pretty darn soon. We already got some rain from this system during the day today. I was checking the weather maps all day long from my phone--paid for the access for today since some genius decided to steal equipment from the cable company yesterday so I had no cable or internet all day long...internet is still out but cable is back. Still using the cell phone to access here...anyway, all forecasts predict rain all day and night tomorrow but I don't think we will be getting much wind or lightning or anything like that. I must say that I have been pretty lucky while living here...we didn't have much storm activity last year and during 2010, there was just that one week of non-stop rain but no bad winds or anything and no hurricanes have hit in my time here---would like to keep it that way! And if we ever get the interview date, we could get out and lessen the chance of it! lol
