Yesterday was 6 months for us. Called to see if I could make a service request (thru tier 2) they said "Ohhhh looks like they're getting closer! They are on January 9th so not too much longer". I was like, "umm....yeah, that would seem exciting if it werent for the fact that they have been on that date for 3 weeks now". She said there is nothing she can do as far as a service request until the system updates to January 13th (our NOA1 is January 12th).

I contacted my congresswoman this week and am waiting to hear back. God I hope we hear something soon....

those answers really worry me as we will be 6 months next Friday... we managed to get a service request last week and will call them back on Monday (the girl said to call back in 10 days if we hear nothing) but I got a feeling we will hear some lame excuse again... it is getting worse and I feel more frustrated each day!

Oh man, brutal stuff...

I drove up to Quebec from my home to visit the lady for the weekend, and bring her back for a 2 months stay. I drove nearly 15 1/2 hours straight yesterday. We checked the site today, since we saw more activity. Apparently, we've been hit with an RFE. I honestly have no idea what we could have missed as I included literally everything I could to prove the relationship. Guess we'll have to wait and see what the letter says when it gets here. Definitely feels like a punch to the gut, even if it does mean that our file has actually been worked on.

This stuff ruins the romantic weekend we had planned, simply because now neither of us will be able to get our minds off of what the RFE might be.

On a side note, my Congressman's office sent a letter to them last Friday. Not sure if there is a correlation between that and this, as I know I'm borderline Jan/Feb filer, but figured it should be mentioned.

We filed Jan 4th, got our NOA1 on Jan 9th and NOA2 on May 25th. However, our Packet 3 never showed up and we were only able to drop that off yesterday, 1 month after the consulate claims to have sent it out to us...

So i was just talking to a friend here in Honduras...a former coworker...and he was telling me about how his neighbor just got denied for the K1 visa! The girl is from here and the guy from the US...they've been living together and she is pregnant and so they thought they "had it in the bag" and went for the interview like 2 weeks ago and were denied with no explanation whatsoever as to why! Anybody have any ideas of why they would not be able to get an answer about the denial??! They went to the consulate office here in the northern region today and the people there treated the guy terribly. I haven't talked to the couple since I don't know them but it sounds scary and sad after going through all of this....ugh. Freaked me out a bit. But then again, they are not here on VJ, so they probably didn't have all of the "right answers" like all of us do, right?! ;)

If I was you I wouldnt listen or worry too much.... Simce you don't know them , your friend cpuld be telling you anything they told him and you don't know what really happened or what kind of proof of being together they had. Being pregnant doesn't mean they are going to get a visa just based on that , they still meed a proof the baby is his etc so relax, you will be fine :)

You'll probably be fine, but it's always best at this point to go over to your regional forum and see if anyone has any pointers, here's a link to the "Mexico, Latin & South America" forums which seems to be where the Honduras folk seem to hang out.
