NOA2 no NVC?

Did you try to press option 2 for information on K visas when you called the NVC? I was trying option 1(automated response system) for a while and then found out that I should be trying option 2. Someone said that option 1 is no opiated so often and it might be 3 weeks after you case has been sent to the Embasy.

I don't remember option one. If it's the automatic one it doesn't work for K1's and will keep saying "no record of __ found(...)".

All K1 petitions travel through NVC. This is where the new case number is assigned to the petition. USCIS doesn't do that, and when the embassy receives the case, the case number has already been assigned.

I've been waiting since December 5th 2011 for ours to get to the NVC...

Its says on the NOA2 that "You should allow a minimun of 30 days for Dept of State processing before contacting the NVC" This being said we recieved our NOA2 on Jan 3, 2012 The letter from the NVC stating they had forwarded our petition to the US Embassy in London was dated the 12th, but I didn't get it in the mail until Jan 20th.

I'm in the same situation a received my NOA2 on Jan 5, 2012 and I've been calling just about every day since Jan 9, 2012 and they keep telling me to give it 15 business from the approval notice.

It can sometimes take up to a month for NVC to receive the petition. If they haven't received it after month call NVC to enquire about it and you can also try calling USCIS to ask when they sent it to NVC. Unfortunately, it is just a lot of waiting. Hope this helps a bit.

Same here , but I don't think we need to worry. There was a holiday in that week with Martin Luther King day so take that into consideration and like the other person mentioned allow at least 15 days for the mail and possibly bad weather might make a difference so we are still good as far as time. I was going to give them at least till Wednesday and then talk to a representative .Remain positive

we received our NOA2 Jan 9th and still the NVC hasn't received the petition should we be worried?

Just called NVC. They received my file yesterday 1/24/12. They should e-mail me when it is mailed to the embassy!!! They gave me my case number.

FYI... my NOA2 was January 6. I called and they received the petition yesterday. They informed me it can take 2-4 weeks for it to leave for consulate, though sometimes it happens sooner.

Aside from calling NVC, is there another way we might find out if they've received our application, such as an email or letter saying that it has been sent to NCV or NVC has received it?
