I and my fiance have been dating for over a year now and I'm considering going through a K-1 process, Is it possible i can get this done without having to have met him in person? Any idea if it will be possible for me to apply and be successful?

one of the requirements is that you've met in person within the last two years, so no.

That's a no! You can't I-129 until you guys meet. So I suggest you book you flight to see your fiance. How did you guys start dating? Either way one of you guys visit the other at some point in 2 years of filing the petition. So, I suggest you guys start gathering all the necessary information of the proof of your relationship, e.g.,(photo, chats, letter, emails, copy of boarding passing, etc...)

There are exceptions to that requirement however to live up to those and have the petition approved by USCIS, you're probably throwing the same money on the petition out the window as you could've used on plain tickets so see each other and be out of that worry. Is anything preventing you from meeting each other?

K1 process, October 2010 > POE, July 2011

I-129F approved in 180 days from NOA1 date. (195 days from filing to NOA2 in hand)

Interview took 224 days from I-129F NOA1 date. (241 days from filing petition until visa in hand)

From filing I-129F petition until POE: 285 days

EAD/AP Approval took 51 days from NOA1 date to email update. (77 days from filing until EAD/AP in hand)

AOS Approval took 206 days from NOA1 date to email update. (231 days from filing until greencard in hand)

From filing I-129F petition until greencard in hand: 655 days

there is a "HARDSHIP" for not meeting.. clause.. BUT i would assume it is VERY HARD to get.. and probably not worth even trying..

yall need to meet.. if you want to make it alot easier..

book a flight to europe from NYC (are cheap!!) (then maybe get a separate flight to NYC from where you live.. meet there instead..) that is half way for both of ya'll.. it does not say.. you have to meet in HOME country..

No!!!! Why would you want to be a Fiance to Someone you have never met.

I see you are posting this in the Bringing Family members of Permanent Residents to the US forum. Are you a US citizen yourself, or are you a Permanent Resident? If you are a Permanent Resident yourself, this question is a moot point. Only US citizens are allowed to sponsor a fiancee.
