yesterday at 2 my wife and my mother in law in san francisco CA they went to our lawyer to expidite . my wife wrote a hand letter and she bring a leter from her docteur and signed by 3 docteurs from the hospital and some pappers explain about her health etc. every things was perfect

after they reach the lawyer office in 3 hourz driving , he look at the pappers he said its a really stong case for expidite. then she told me he open his computer and he showed them that our approve is coming in 2 weeks cause now we are in 4.5 months from NOA1. i ask her wich website she said is only for lawyers this website he put his user name and password. then he explain to her that 3% from expidite approves only. and if we expidite and they refused it they going to complicate out case and its going to take more time and things like that... so i dont know who to believe im really confused and sick from this lawyer any1 have idea about this. and sorry for my language if its not very clear!

and plus he said if we expidite its going only to speed the USCIS level and not the NVC and the Embassy

I am not an expert but what I figure is that Lawyers have really nothing to do with speeding the case. Deal tactfully with lawyer. Secondly, expediting is always better if your case is strong and have enough supporting documents. That it will only expedite at USCIS level, I am not sure. I also never heard of this 3% stats. Let experienced and more knowledgeable members throw light on it

That part is true. The expedite will only be accepted at USCIS level, it doesn't follow up to the next steps, unfortunately. You will have to request expedite of your case once again at NVC.

I have never heard of a lawyers special site to find out when people will get approved....he is just showing you that 5 months is the normal processing times---from 3 months ago. now the normal processing times seem to be at 6.5 months so send in the expedite.

then when it is approved-request an expedite from nvc

then when it is approved request an expedite at the embassy

good luck

fire your lawyer for not being truthful.

If I am wrong and there truly is a SPECIAL section for lawyers to see when people will get approved then we should all get one. Cause I know people would pay good money to know exactly when that noa2 is coming

May 24, 2011 NOA1

Sept 11, 2011 NOA2-took 19 days to get case number

Sept 30, 2011 NVC number and IIN received Friday-gotta wait till Monday

Oct 13, 2011 Case Completed- 13 days from receiving case number Took 32 days from NOA2

Nov 30, 2011 Notified of Interview date

January 19, 2012 Interview- 240 days from NOA1

INTERVIEW RESULTS-APPROVED WITH 14 WEEKS AP--but he got his visa in 56 days!!!!!!

PLEASE EDIT YOUR TIMELINE IN YOUR PROFILE SO OTHERS CAN LEARN HOW LONG EACH STEP TAKES IN THIS PROCESS
