I-129F sent !

Hello everybody,

Sent out my I-129F petition on the 30th of Nov. with priority and confirmation. Looked up USPS and it showed they sign and received it. Now the question is why haven't i heard anything as of yet? I even sent in the extra form to be notified they had received it and so on. I read on here most will hear something within a day or so some 4 days and then later the hard copy. Am i jumping the gun here or should i be worried that it is lost or something is wrong? Thanks in advance.

You are jumping the gun.

They need to cash the check and often they don't even email/text you even if you included the extra sheet to be notified.

You should be waiting up to 2 weeks not 4 days.

It could take up to 1-2 weeks. Best way to check to see if it's been received is if your check has been cashed (as someone already said).

Some people receive their NOA1 faster than others, yes. It just has to do with what day it ends up at their office and how busy they are. There's no rhyme or reason with the waiting process with the USCIS.

Don't worry. My I-129F was signed and received on 9/19. Didn't get my NOA1 in the mail until the 26th.

Husband(fiance at the time of filing) is active military, after we filed he was told he was deploying. We contacted USCIS and 5 days later got an approval notice

Pinoylover if you are freaking out waiting for the NOA1, waiting for the NOA2 will drive you NUTS. Believe me when I say I am a TYPE A PERSON. So from one Type A to another Type A you have got to chill out. I got so worked up I have contacted the offices of both Senators, my local congressman and the White House--yes, the White House. The Senators and Congressman are friendly but I have ZERO confidence they are accelerating anything and the only thing I got from the White House was a form letter. I have however been added to fundraising mailing lists for reelection campaigns... I learned to pull back the throttle because I was burning myself out WAY TOO FAST.

Thanks guys! Yea i know the NOA2 takes longer a about 3 or 4 months or so... well last time it only took 3 months to get the NOA2, but i didn't remember it taking so long to get the first one? But your right i will just concentrate on work more but my fiance is the one who will go crazy waiting for the NOA2 if she had it her way we would be living in the Philippines right now LOL. But she wants to be with me as i do with her and her daughter which soon will be mine too. Anyhow i am willing to do whatever it takes to get them here. Thanks again!

Good news everybody! Got my case number via text this morning when i get up. So here we go! Never been much on patience. LOL but i know not to expect anything for a least another 3 months if I'm that lucky. Thanks for all the responses you guys are great on here!

Yes you are jumping the gun and please be patient because the 4 difficult days that you have had waiting for the NOA1 is nothing compared to the months its going to take for the NOA2.Just be patient.It will be here sooner than you know.
