Hey,

do the letters, emails, text messages, msn, skype, etc need to be in english when sending as proof of the a legit relationship with the i-129 ? my fiancee speaks/writes spanish and portugese very well but her english, well lets just say its a work in progress. Thanks!

i didnt send any proof of relationship with my i 129... just sent the application, boarding pass, copy of my passport showing i traveled to see my fiance and application fee... not sure if all that is needed before the interview

All of my emails, chats, etc. that I sent in were in Portuguese since my then fiance did not speak any English at the time. We had no problems.

Thats NOT entirely true. Some Consulates such as HCMC scutinize the materials submitted with the petition, hence the term front loading.

Absolutely.

The guide on VJ does not say all pages of a passport HAVE to be photocopied. If this is true then the guide should be updated ASAP.

Thats not the point. Other people may read the same advice and assume it also applies to thier situation. I used HCMC as an a example. but there are other locations where front loading may be advisable. My point was for petitioners to check out the particular requirements that fit thier situation and not rely on generic "one size fits all" advice that may get them in trouble down the road.
