I'm going CRAZY

My husband submitted his DS-260 online on November 7. We received an email saying all documentation had been received necessary to continue processing and that we'd be notified when the interview date was scheduled.

I. AM. GOING. CRAZY.

I just want to know when it is! If it's not going to be for a long time, I would at least like to be able to go see him for Christmas or New Years, but if it's going to be like the beginning of January, it wouldn't make much sense to go twice in such a short amount of time.

Any advice on dealing with the wait? We've already been apart another 3 months since I last saw him and we've only seen each other a whopping 24 days in the 8 months that we've been married.

Please tell me it gets easier!

Anyone have any idea how long it takes after all papers are submitted until you get the date of the interview for Mexico??

My fiance (from MX) and I are still waiting on NOA2 (124 days since noa1).. and I felt the same way as you- should i go down in DEC/JAN... but what if we get approved soon, and then Id be going in JAN/FEB anyway... is it worth it/I miss him so much!!!

I bought my place ticket over thanksgiving break :)

what do you hear back from a phone call into NVC, talking with a Human ?

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Hi. we got a case complete nov 18th, called NVC today and was told dec interviews taken, to call back in 3 weeks.

Call again tomorrow. 6 days after I received the case complete, I called the NVC and inquired on an interview date for my wife and I was told nothing was available. I called again the very next day and was told an interview had been scheduled for my wife and was given the date.

I hope you are able to experience the "what a difference a day makes" feeling that I did. The second you know when the interview date is, that's when you see the light at the end of the tunnel.

I filed the petition for the I 130 on 10/15/2010. All the paperwork was approved and sent to the Visa Center in March of 2011. My husband didn't get an interview until May 13th 2011. At the interview he wasn't denied the Visa, he was told that the paperwork was being sent back to USCIS for further review. I have been told several things by individuals on this site of what to expect. It has been 153 days since USCIS received our paperwork back from the Visa Center. I called them last Friday to see if I could get some information pertaining to the case. I was told that this part of the process should have only taken 120 days and that a request would be put in to have the case updated. I was told to allow 15 days to receive a response. I really don't know what is going on but it's very frustrating. We were married a year September 6th 2011 and my husband still hasn't gotten his Visa. And the worst part is that no one will tell you if there is a problem or if this is normal procedure. It's like they are holding your life in their hands.

Congrats!!! Great News.....Keep in touch with NVC and I am sure you will soon hear the Good News....the waiting period varies from country to country and even embassy to embassy so you can get a clear picture if you do a bit of research work on the interview being scheduled in your country and your consulate.

I am an Indian and my consulate is Mumbai my case completed in Sep 2011 and there is no interview date available for me this year hopefully i will get an interview date in january 2012.

Look - yer an EP case - there is special, hidden queue for interview assignments on EP casefile types. MOST NVC TeleOperators know nothing about it. USUALLY, a week after the case is complete, the casefile is lobbed into the scheduling queue and gets scheduled, within 10 days of 'case complete'.

SO. Call into NVC, get a Supervisor, remind the Supervisor that this is an EP casefile type, and INQUIRE for the casefile status, INQUIRE for the special EP scheduling queue, INQUIRE about scheduling with CDJ.

Good Luck ! [use the telephone, each day, until you have the appointment date]
