Hello all,

Well It's been a lot of work; but we got our forms completed and sent in.

I-129F received by lockbox on 10/26/11

USCIS Acceptance Confirmation 10/31/11

Paper copy (Form I-797) 11/9/11

Please wish us luck and a million thanks for all the great help, guidance, and good vibes from everyone here. This is really a journey to remember and man am I a ball of nerves :)

We do have a question though, how long generally will it take before our "receipt number" will work with the USCIS website? I keep getting a "not valid / not-found" error. Is this common?

Excited, scared, and just totally jazzed... wow... I hope to be married soon :) :) :) :)

All the best!....crazy process...just make it worth it all u do....

I actually didn't look into checking my status that early online...im sure you can gain access down the road just give it a few weeks then ask the reps at the USCIS vie the 800 number!

Jun 08, 2011- NOA1 Received I-129F

Jun 13, 2011- USCIS Acceptance confirmation (via Email)

Jun 16, 2011- Received NOA1 Hardcopy

Nov 15, 2011- Put in Service Request (Over 5months)

Nov 23, 2011- Response via email to SR (case "Pending")

Nov 28, 2011- Wrote letter to My district's Representative thru webpage (Gregory Meeks)

Dec 02, 2011- Went to the Local Reps office to have them look into the case further

Dec 07, 2011- Wrote email to the vermont service center ( the got back to me Dec 20, of course to tell me I was approved due to the congressman's inquiry)

Dec 08, 2011- Congressman/Local Rep's inquiry made

Dec 09, 2011- USCIS Text/Email with approval (NOA2) 6 months and 2 days

Dec 14, 2011- Receive NOA2 Hardcopy

Dec 14, 2011 NVC Received -Got Case number(YAY)

Dec 16, 2012 NVC Left

Consulate

Dec 28, 2011 Consulate Received Case

Dec 28, 2011 Packet 3 Received (via email upon my request)

March 22, 2010 - Introduced online through a mutual friend

July 9, 2010 - I flew out to Phoenix to see Marques, initially for 1 month, changed to just short of 90 days

December 16, 2010 - I flew out to Marques for another 3 months. Christmas in Vegas!

December 31, 2010 - Marques proposed... I said yes! :)

March 10, 2011 - We flew back to London together, Marques met all my family and friends. He stayed for 2 weeks

June 23, 2011 - I flew out to see Marques again

September 19, 2011- I flew back to England alone :

December 30, 2011 - Marques will be here with me!!!

January 9, 2012 - Marques flew back to AZ :(

Thanks all for the wishes! It's a nutty process that is full of highs and lows. Being a bit of a control freak; this whole quiet part drives me nuts :( Waiting is painful but sooooo worth it :)

Right now I am still nervous about the process; but all of your input makes me feel "not so alone" out here. +1 for all of your help guys and gals! God Speed to everyone!

Off to bed and gladly marking yet another day into the past. One more day closer to being together :) :) :)

10/03/2014 NOA1

10/10/2014 Received Biometrics Appointment Letter, Biometrics scheduled for 10/30/14

10/22/2014 Early Biometrics Walk-in - Cleveland, OH - weird experience with the clerk there - told me I can go ahead and get my biometrics taken early, but it might be too early and it might not go through??? If it might be a problem, then why let me do it at all?

02/10/2015 New Biometrics letter received, Biometrics scheduled for 03/09/15- I guess that clerk was right??

03/09/2015 Second biometrics

5/15/2015 Put in a service request online - outside of processing time

5/18/2015 Approved!

I've heard some people saying they can't check their status online. Some of them called the USCIS and they say their website doesn't work very well. Keep trying and it might work one day... :blink:
