I would try. The appointment would be at the same location they do the biometrics at. They could possibly just run you through as long as you are there. We went in early when we finally got our appointment letter, which was also late coming and required a request to get. From showing up to getting out couldn't have been longer than 10 minutes.

Congratulations to all of you out there who got their green cards approved,or any other kind of approvals, and good luck to us who are still waiting...

Hey guys,I need your advice.Anyone has any clue,or know something about it,do you think it is possible to make an infopass appt. to the local USCIS office, and have biometrics done without having received yet the biometrics appt.??? It is just a thought, since has been over 60 days and we still didn't get our biometrics appointment. What do you think??

Thanks!

Not necessarily true; biometrics are done at your local ASC (application support center), but interviews/infopass appointments are done at your local Field Office. These might be one and the same, but at least for me I had my biometrics in Oakland, and the actual interview in San Francisco (and even the ASC in San Francisco would have not been in the same building as the Field Office is).

Thanks for the info, my assumption was wrong. I now see we have a different location for the field office here to. Hopefully, we'll never have need of that. Good luck on getting your biometrics completed.

Granted that this whole process is like watching paint dry but how do I activate the "faster processing" that my application was transferred to CSC for? Lol. Seems like the interview route might be faster in many cases after all...

At least when there's no interview, you don't have to worry they're doubting the relationship. The EAD wait was the big one gor us. My wife so wants to get a job and feel she's contributing, plus it's boring for her without work. She always worked so many hours back in her home country. She says it makes her feel useless without a job her. Now her big goal is landing that first job here. The green card will be great when it comes, but it's not the focus like the EAD was.

Well, I have been waiting for an incredible amount of time. Gladly, I did not have any real rush to have my papers, but it was nice to know that I wasn't forgotten, or that I didn't have any RFE.I have finally received the emails saying I was transferred to another service center and my EAD is on it's way. I still have a chance of getting an RFE, but man am I glad there is no interview!!

I am, slowly, learning how to be patient and not a complete control freak! LOL

The interview will be at your local office, the email always says NBC but the letter in the mail will say your local office address.
