... and then the IO went over the entire I-485 form, having me verify/answer most of the questions, and then sign the form again stating that all of it is (still) true. Then he wanted to see what we had brought with us, so we showed him our wedding pictures (he kept the letter-sized sheet we had printed to put in our file), and our joint bank accounts and apartment lease (he didn't keep any of those). After some more chit-chatting about how we met etc...

Hee hee, Mek is leaving out the part where I internally panicked after he was asked if his cell phone number was part of a "family plan". I explained that it wasn't. When the IO got to the list of organizations, he asked if M was still a member, "yes", and I pointed out that I was wearing a shirt from the organization's meeting at the location we initially met in person. So we didn't have a "how did you meet?" query, since that was kind of already covered.

I was a little worried about only having the one sheet of photos and not a big album, but putting 5 or so on one sheet of photo paper turned out to be a nice addition to our file. :) He seemed a little surprised (impressed?) that our wedding had been in a church. (Our local churches actually weren't very busy at all, so we didn't have any problems with our unknown scheduling, and were able to easily do the 3 sessions of pre-marital counseling ahead of time.) I pointed out various family members that were there. And then we showed a photo that was taken during a roller coaster ride with some of my family: the kind where you can buy them after the ride. This one was printed with a holiday theme and said "holiday 2011" on it. We ended up not bothering to show Christmas cards that had been sent to us. (And how do you show Christmas cards that you sent to other people?)

Our Netherlands party has invitations that look about as formal as our wedding invites, so those probably weren't bad to show either.

I had my AOS interview today and the interview itself was easy, we just went over all of the questions on the I-485 form and the only other question that we were asked was how we met. We were advised that the greencard would be approved but there was a problem; my visa packet including my medical results were never received at the USCIS office. Now I am trying to track down the packet through the Detroit Tunnel or see if I can get a copy from Dr. Seiden's office in Toronto. If this fails I have to go for another medical and pay the fee again! This is very frustrating! I can't believe they are not more careful with these documents. :(:crying:

The status will be changed 3 times until "USPS picks up your mail with your new card inside" then you can expect it in 2 days via Priority Mail.

Congratulations to all of you out there who got their green cards approved,or any other kind of approvals, and good luck to us who are still waiting...

Hey guys,I need your advice.Anyone has any clue,or know something about it,do you think it is possible to make an infopass appt. to the local USCIS office, and have biometrics done without having received yet the biometrics appt.??? It is just a thought, since has been over 60 days and we still didn't get our biometrics appointment. What do you think??

Thanks!

I filed in November, but we've not heard anything except for a Transfer Notice (to the California office) in a month now. Getting concerned...

Kind regards,

...but then again, maybe it's too early for me to be concerned?
