Congratulations on your interview date! My husband is also from Alexandria! I love and miss this beautiful city by the sea!

I wouldn't say dummy you for forgetting his passport, I'd say dummy him. He's a grownup capable of remembering his own passport for an immigration interview. You didn't do anything wrong.

Well this past 6 weeks has been super busy. I 'm sure all of you have been at this point a one time or another in your life or will be soon! ;) Got married end of Sept. Reception Mid Oct, Moved, filed for adjustment and now getting new furniture busy busy busy looking forward to quietier days. (but just happy to bee with my loved one!) :wub:

I wanted to just take a moment to thank everyone who's been kind to me since I joined up here in January. There are some awesome people here and you're truly appreciated. Long distance relationships are so difficult, even more so as an American having a relationship with someone from MENA, it's a real joy to have a place to talk to those who've walked in those shoes and come out relatively unscathed on the other side.

Aly - So happy to read about your interview date. Best of luck to you and your husband!

Hi Mena people!

Monday my hubby had his AOS interview Monday, it sounded postive, at the end he said that he had to look thru everything and then told my husband to enjoy his life in the US. So we are not sure what to think of that, and dummy me forgot his passport at home :(

07/21/11 filed AOS off tourist visa

07/28/11 USCIS cashed check

07/30/11 Recieved NOA1 and Biometrics letter

08/24/2011 Biometrics

08/25/2011 RFE sent to us for some info we've already sent in

08/30/2011 sent in the rest of info USCIS asked for

09/13/2011 went to congressman's office to sign papers for expedite of work permit, due to financial hardship

09/15/2011 Work permit expedite approved!! He can finally find a job!

09/24/2011 work permit arrives

09/26/2011 Apply for social security number!

09/30/2011 Letter is sent for interview

11/07/2011 INTERVIEW!!!

Its 2012 and still no approval! Still waiting

01/27/2012 Letter sent stating that file was sent on for more review :(

Today we celebrate our first year in our first house! So thankful for a place to call home! Glad a year of payments are done, now to finish up the other 29yrs of house payments!

Good morning everyone! Day off & work scheduled a meeting today that I got to attend right in the middle of my day off! My head & throat hurts alot & I'm watching my 4yr old neice & 2yr old nephew while my brother is at his doctor appt over in Louisiana. Darn cats are teasing the kiddos & getting them all hyper! Grrr I'm about to put the cats in a hiding place lol
