Ok, thank you!

And when you filed ROC you considered the date on the GC, right?

I had the same problem :bonk: ; I talked to the USCIS officers here and I was supposed to send my GC back to Phoenix for them to change the date on the GC. I haven't... The "real" date, the date they have in their data base is the date on your approval notice, not on GC. I will send my ROC file sometime in Dec.2012, which will cover all bases...

Obviously its not the date on the approval notice because they accepted mine when it would of been too early ! They went by the date on my green card.

It's not a "problem". The REAL date is the date on your GC. The CO who has your file first approves the case, then a supervisor reviews it to make sure the approval is valid. If it's not then you won't know it was approved back with the first officer, if it is then they stick with that date, not the date when the supervisor approves it on the system. The date on the GC is the date you go by (unless it's REALLY off - as in by years/months). A couple of days is COMPLETELY normal. My AOS was approved on the system on the 6th July but it was approved by the CO on the 1st July so that's what my GC says.

You will see in my post I issued the caveat "unless it's REALLY off, as in by years/months". Yours is off my months and therefore wrong. The date on your approval notice is not the correct date either. The OP's is off by 2 weeks, that's still fine. It is important to note that not EVERY situation is the same. Your situation is vastly different to the OP's.
