You mean petition?

You can call or email NVC to find out if your case has reached their office. By the way, a lot of us who were approved on 6th or 7th of Sept. are waiting for the NVC process. Seems like CSC sends petitions to NVC in batches. Hopefully, we all will hear from NVC by Sept. end.

I-751 process:

4/06/09: Mailed I-751 to VSC by Express mail

4/07/09: Received by VSC

4/17/09: Check clearance.

4/20/09: NOA1 received in mail (receipt date: 4/08/09)

4/30/09: Biometric appt. letter received (appt. on May 15th)

5/05/09: Walk-in biometric done

9/02/09: Approval Email (touch on USCUS site)

9/03/09: Approval letter received (decision date: 8/27/09)

9/09/09: Touch, but no change in status on USCIS site.

9/11/09: Green card rec'd.

Im not sure I understand the need to send to CSC. It gets sent to VSC anyway and processed. It would have been easier for myself to move to a VSC state, apply and then move back home. With a couple months to spare. For you newcomers. Think of this idea.

I think you got things mixed up. After the California Service Center approves your petition, it sends your case to the National Visa Center (NVC) and not to Vermont Service Center (VSC).

Also, maybe you'd like to correct your signature.... you're now waiting for NVC, and not VSC

Acording to your timeline, You sent your I-129F packet to NSC Nebraska Service Center, they then forwarded it to CSC (California Service Center) After they Approved it (NOA2) September 6 CSC will send it to NVC (National Visa Center). No where in this process should be VSC (Vermont Service Center) Your signature states VSC which makes no sense.

You should call NVC (National Visa Center) and check on the status of your case. 603 334-0700 Then 1 for language and then 2 for K1 Visas. http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/ty...types_1309.html

An automated recorded message system can answer many of these inquiries 24 hours a day, seven days a week (603 334-0700). Operators are available to respond to more difficult inquiries from 7:30 AM to 12:30 AM (EST) Monday through Friday. Status of case information and access to an operator can only be provided by entering your NVC case number or CIS receipt number on a touch-tone telephone. Case inquiries can also be made via email at NVCINQUIRY@state.gov. NVC only has information on petitions it has received. If our automated service does not recognize the CIS file or receipt numbers you entered, most likely we have not yet received your petition.

I hope my second reply made sense.

Just to add to YuandDan's post...

When I called the NVC I spoke with someone in person who confirmed that they had my case and that it was in the system. The automated system often takes some time to be updated.

yellow67r, we have the same approval date and I think we'll have to hang tight for another week or so. CSC is not nearly as fast as VSC in getting petitions to the NVC. You can call and/or email but most likely they will say to give it a bit longer - they told me earlier this week to give it 30 days. Don't worry - it will get there and should be just a quick stop before it goes to the consulate. Good luck!

It's been 28 days and NVC do not have our case yet. Does it mean my approved petition still at CSC? Should I call CSC now? I call NVC everyday and maybe it is the time to call CSC. I though I got out of CSC when I got Noa2.

CSC, please let me go!

I'm sorry but today's date is September 21st... it can take up to a month, or more for the NVC to receive and assign your case number. Some people get it done within 10 days, some wait months. Just relax!
