What did you wear to the interview?

I feel so silly asking this question ,

but let me get this straight!

What did you guys wear to the AOS Interview???

Are we supposed to look somewhat dressy (suits)? or

Can we go casual (polo+Jeans, cotton skirts, etc)?

I wore the same type of business attire I would wear for work in an office, as I wanted to be taken seriously. I also made sure I was comfortable because the last thing I needed was to be fussing with my clothes:-).

Me...A suit/tie person normally... but I wore smart casual in London (for visa) and again in Charlotte (for AOS), as I felt most comfortable in that. They are really checking out 'YOU', not your clothes sense, I decided.

Be comfortable above all, as you might have a long wait for your turn. I hope this helps.

Both you and your sig. other will be present. If I were AO I would look for similar styles. Rationale - there must be a match between two people, dress style could be an indicator of such.

We wore jeans and had no problem. They were clean and fit properly. I didn't get the feeling they really cared about the clothes.

My interview was on a Friday, so I wore my jeans and a nice shirt, since I would be heading to the office after the interview. Hubby on the other hand was a bit dressier. So, I guess we were "mis-matched" . He had a job interview heading off to later that day.

I wore cotton shirt with jeans and sneakers. Marc was with his Harley shirt, black jeans and boots.

Nothing dressy, and we were fine. I think it doesn't matter.

we wore casual dressy --- simple skirt and shirt for me, dress shirt and jeans for him.

I wore a skirt and casual top, my husband wore a nice pair of dress dockers and causual shirt.

I believe you don't want to look too formal, but not too sloppy either.

We all wore nice casual clothes. I don't think the immigration officer even noticed what we had on! :-)
