SSD means no moving parts, so now your wife can throw your laptop at you more often.

Now I watch who is behind me when I pick up my emails. Cheaper than SSD

I've been buying from Newegg for quite a while and have been trying to sift through the choices. Which Acer did you get? I see the keys looking awfully flimsy (or maybe the ones I see on display in the stores are just getting beat up). Any problems/annoyances to speak of?

The keyboard is fine but I wished it was lighted. I paid $399 for it back in February. I just needed something for browsing the interwebs.

FWIW.... I have a gaming desktop I built myself.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Why are we going for the cheapest price in everything? I was at WalMart today, and they have a whole row of $400-500 dollar laptops. Would not want to be seen next to one of those!

Race to the bottom? Not me!

Who is with me in paying up a bit more for quality, design, fast chips, Uber Ram, and thinness.....? Just sayin'!

I guarantee you don't have any idea how to classify the speed of a chip. Have fun getting ripped off.
