Just had our interview yesterday. It went well. The officer didn't even look for pictures but she checked documents showing our joint properties. She asked several questions but everything went well. Thank God gc will come before the year ends!

I have my AOS interview in January. My passport is expired - will this be a problem? I have read that you get an i551 stamp on either the passport or I94, but that they sometimes don't stamp expired documents. Will this even be a problem if I am adjusting through marriage? Thanks!

AOS approved and GC in production!!!! kicking.gif

Sorry I didn't post a review of the interview sooner, it didn't go very well and we have been holding our breath for the past week!!! wacko.gif

The IO was very nice at first, asked for our passports, flipped through our file and asked questions ... what our names were, where we lived, how we met, when we met in person for the first time, etc. even joked about the amount of paper work that somehow manages to end up all in one file at our local office after going to so many places... asked for copies of documents showing our relationship (insurance cards, bank statements, utility bills with both our names, etc.) She didn't even look at the photo album of our wedding pictures... seemed easy enough...

Then her manner changed and she started grilling my husband about the amount of time he spent in the US and about his one entry denial... then hit us with the fact that his overstay automatically caused him to be barred from the US for 3 years... helpsmilie.gif..... we knew he had an overstay but not that he had been automatically barred and had consulted an attorney when we went through the K-1 visa process and were told everything was okay, didn't need a waiver, he had declared that information all the way through the entire process and had been asked about it and told it wasn't going to be a problem ... but the IO said she was 95% sure they were going to send a Notice of Intent to Deny....and we should probably get an attorney....ohmy.gif.... but her supervisor was going to make that decision and they would let us know.

We felt like we'd been punched in the stomach and slapped in the face... total shock... and have been stressing out all week over this..... we got an email friday that said they ordered production of his GC, but were afraid to get excited until today when we got the email that said it had been approved.... *PHEW*

So hopefully we will have his card in hand in the next couple of days and can be done with this scary rollercoaster ride through USCIS-land for the next 2 years!!!! yes.gif

Hi you all. As you can see my case is on hold and waiting.Just called USCIS yesterday and got the same answer BLA,BLA,BLA.... and wait, cause 5 months doesn't mean it is delayed for them. CSC should mean no interview and faster processing times... well, wish i had an interview and be done with this waiting game.

I'm about a month ahead of you and I'm in the same situation. I called on 1/20/12 and the CSR told me that CSC was working on applications from 6/2/11, so it should take a few more weeks. It's still better than the K-1 since I can go home every night and be with my wife instead of her being on the other side of the world.

Im in the same boat.. Seems majority of the transfers to CSC, from St. Paul/Minneapolis are taking longer.. I know someone from Madison WI send in theirs in october, and received approval in Dec... Not fair but like others have mentioned, its better than the k1 process, at least we're together thru this.

Hello dear fellows...

Me and hubby were waiting a long time to post our first message on VJ. We wanted for the K1 to be approved and for us to be together already before start posting our progress here.

This forum is really amazing, helped us all the way through. Now it's the greencard wait...

We are on the same boat, filed in August, got our case transferred to CSC and then... nothing else happened. I also called and got the same answer, they were a "little behind" (in their words of course, not ours) but there was nothing wrong.

Luckily I already have received my EAD and AP in October.

Good luck to us all and congratulations to those who already finished this part of their process!

Jessna
