Yes. Even if NVC forgets to ask, you provide those details else you will get all the correspondence in regular mail, which slows everything. If you got NVC case number, call and give the email addreses of both of you ASAP.

In comparison not really but logically yes (whye should USCIS take so much time!). Last year the approvals took 180 days on average, so we are better on that count. Yes, NVC process has increased by an average of 30 - 45 days from what it was last year - it is where we are getting more frustated (I am no exception).

I am getting frustrated. I keep calling and no case number yet. I have read that some members here get more info that " we have your case but no case number. call back in 2-4 weeks" when they speak to customer service rep. What do you ask them? How do you get them to tell you more than the standard answer?

I just got my NVC Case Number last night through the AVR. I was going to call the op in the morning to get the IIN and exchange emails. I checked my email in the morning and they sent me the NVC Case #, IIN, Beneficiary #, and the DS-3032 in the email! So excited!

I just noticed yotu petition was filed at VSC. I would say most of the others on this thread were filed at CSC.

From what I've read it seems like the VSC has had their files processed faster than the CSC.

Don't think VSC is going any faster than CSC at this point.

We filed at VSC, approved July 27th. 28 days later... still no case number. When we called last week, we were told that they received our file on Aug 1. Called this morning and were told they had JUST received our case and they were entering it into the system. <_<
