This is primarily about fueled by class resentment, not race. Those of you trying to understand this through the prism of US race relations will not get it.

From what I've heard from friends who live up in north London they have seen gangs of youths being coordinated by adults. I'd say a good portion of this has been orchestrated by the same anarchist who have been responsible for organised trouble at football games

It's a very British attitude that if there is someone breaking the law,

the law will be applied against them regardless of race.

If one is looking for excuses or reasons for the rioting,
