Ddoes anyone here who got their 10 year greencard within only 2 or 3 months from the date of their filing of I-751?

We're still waiting for my 10 year green card, i filed last April, had my biometrics last June 10 and upto this time, were still waiting.

Just wondering....

It may take up to 6 months from your date of filing to get your 10 yr card. We filed in November, did the biometrics in December and got approved in March.

biometrics was only like less than 10 mins then we left asap... i wonder if we need an interview or that's enough.

No worries.

It seems that CSC filers gets approved quicker than VSC is. Well, it's always been that way anyway. CSC is faster to approve cases so who knows maybe you'll get yours too, soon.

Yeh... :-S I remember how it was waiting to get my wife approved to come ehre through VSC, when she was still in the Phils. Filed in April, and Interview in February. And here the CSC people were complaining because it took the God awful time of 3 months for them... hehe.

it took us 5 months for our CR1 to be approved, some were only 3 months but some takes a year... its all in the hands of USCIS hehe. I hope my greencard will arrive this month.

in 2008 it was way different, when we filed for K1... the VSC were done married as soon as 4 months after sending the petition, and CSC took 5 or even 6 months just to look at the petition. So it has not always been like that.

Even if you dont hear from them for another year, just apply for Naturalization. For now you already have your extension. I am not worried about my 10 year GC anymore. It was more stressful during the AOS.

You're right. My husband reminded me. When we begin our journey, we were confident that the process would take less than six months from start to finish. Before we filed VSC was faster than CSC, but when we filed they traded places.

Maybe it's our fault that VSC is so slow.

Even if you dont hear from them for another year, just apply for Naturalization. For now you already have your extension. I am not worried about my 10 year GC anymore. It was more stressful during the AOS.

I want to feel that way but its more better to have my 10 GC before i file my naturalization next year. But do you think its okay even without a 10 year GC to apply for Naturalization?

It is fine to apply for naturalization without your 10 year GC. All that will happen is they will speed up the processing of your GC because they cannot proceed with the naturalization until that has been granted.
