Just wondering because I read some people are going to wait and surprise their fiance. I'm going to vote because even though we're not approved yet I know who I'm telling first and how. Anyways let's hear your stories any surprise approvals of the way you told your love one?

I think I'm going to call GG up and pretend we have bad news and then yell in the phone "I TOLD YOU SO WE'RE APPROVED" haha

Only reason I'll tell someone else first is if I can't a hold of her and I get impatient.

I feel she (fiancée) is the first one to know about the whole process. And then family, others should have to be surprised when she comes down here. They shouldn’t have to know about personal life.

I actually told my very good friend first by default because I had picked up the phone to call my then fiance to tell him when I attempted to call I realized I didnt have any more credit on my account so I then called to add credit to my account and in the midst of me adding the credit my good friend called and I told her let me call you back because I need to call my fiance to let him know our petition was approved (NOA2)

I was there with him in Russia when our 1st petition got approved and I woke him up :-) he was sleeping right next to me. He just had this confused look on his face like what's going on and why can't we talk about this in the morning :-))

hahaha i just had the biggest confused look on my face when I read about the VJ option because I had it in there. I edited the poll and forgot to put it back.

For me telling VJ first or at least second would be pretty easy my pc is always up and so is a web browser with VJ tabbed. Unless I have something to do I'm always on my pc for some reason.

oh well other is still there hehe

My husband's aunt and cousins, we stayed with them that weekend (interview was Monday) because they live closer to the CIS then we did and our closest relatives. Mine live overseas and hubs side lived out of state.

I can't remember exactly but it was a day after Christmas and I was just leaving the house to go to work and I checjed the Mail and I saw the 2 envelopes from USCIS and took it into my car. My hear was pounding so hard I thought I was going to have a heart attack. I quickly ripped open the envelope and scanned it for the words "approved" or "denied" and thank god it said Approved.

Ok now I renember I called my mom and told her first then once I got to work I called my husband and he said "ok babe, I knew it" *\(^o^)/*

I told my wife first on approval of our petition I sent her a text. she was still sleeping due to our time difference. She had a nice surprise when she woke up.

I called my mom as I got out from the US Embassy then my dad, and when I got home I skyped with my then-fiance/now-husband and told him the big news!
