I am a May filer as well. Today I checked my status and it shows my case being transferred to the National Benefits Center for further processing on Aug 16. I called USCIS to see why it was transferred and why I hadn't received a notice by mail. I was told that my case was sent to PUERTO RICO on Aug. 16???? WHAT???!!!! Why???!!!! I live in Louisiana!!!! And my husband is in Brazil!!!! Ughhhh, as if I haven't waited long enough....I am soooo agravated, right now...Oh by the way, the agent wasn't sure if my case was ACTUAL sent to Puerto Rico or if it was an error in the notes. So, basically, no one knows where my case is and that I would be notified by Aug. 29 of the status.

:bonk:

When was the day of the approval...if a case has been forwarded to NVC that means you were approved. Once you get the approval day and hopefully the NOA2 you can submit an inquiry to NVC.

Your case is a CR1 so it should not be forwarded to a consulate before completing the nvc steps. Try to call NVC again and see if you can talk to someone else. Reps in the evening tend to be much nicer that the morning ones

Good Luck

I haven't received NOA2 approval as of yet...Per my case status on USCIS, my case was sent to the National Benefits Center for faster processing since CSC was overloaded w/too many applications but it was actually sent to Puerto Rico. I was told tonight by a tier 2 agent, Puerto Rico had an available agent to help process applications...The tier 2 agent I spoke with assured me that everything was okay and that they have been sending cases there for processing, lately...

Thank you guys for all of your support. I really appreciate it....For those of you still waiting, don't be surprised if your case is sent to Puerto Rico, too...The tier 2 agents says that they have been sending case there for processing since they have a lighter workload. I just THANK GOD they found my case!!!! I'll be glad when we get finally approval!!!!

Aw, just hanging in there...my priority date is May 13. You're right behind me, so it shouldn't be much longer. The distance can be stressful, I've been to Brazil twice already in less than a year and I'm going again in a month...It's more of a strain on my pockets, with processing fees and flights....I'll just be glad to complete this process asap...pray for me and I will pray for you and all of my new VJ friends...
