5/17/11 - Sent Package

5/18/11 - Received Package

5/24/11 - Received e-mail notification for I-485, I-130, I-765

5/24/11 - Checks cashed

5/25/11 - Last activity on account based on online tool

5/28/11 - Biometrics appointment letter (for 6/20/11)

6/20/11 - Biometrics Done (they were very nice)

6/24/11 - Text indicating Activity online (at 7:30 am) in morning - I jumped up so fast to get to the computer!

6/24/11 - Notice stating that interview will be on July 27 - no EAD action though

6/25/11 - Received letter that interview will take place on July 27 at 11am

We were prepared to wait for a long time - according to all the information out there. But basically within 2 months of USCIS cashing the checks they scheduled the interview - is this a good sign? I have not received EAD at all - they haven't even touched it. Please, anybody out there - is this a good thing? I am from Chicago ... also has anyone on the forum had any interviews at the Chicago locations recently?

Thanks

Duplicate post about another poster's situation removed as a separate thread already exists for that poster's topic.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

It is a good thing. There's a high posibility of you getting your green card before the EAD arrives in the mail :)

Now don't say it too loud to jinx the fast transition.

All the better if you're moving quickly, your office must not be backed up! You may or may not receive your EAD before your green card. If not, don't worry, it just means your process was really fast and then you can work with the green card. :)

We are so nervous - but we are happy to see that there are at least two other couples in the same boat - HOWEVER, we still have not seen ANY movement on the EAD at all ... I wish I could at least get that. We are starting to prep for the interview. Just want to make sure we have the dates exactly squared away. I never really pay attention to that stuff and now it is life and death to make sure you have all of that perfectly memorized. It is strange to have to be the "perfect" couple - we are generally not terribly sentimental, but it seems like you have to be for the purposes of this interview. So, I guess my question is - has anybody ever heard of anything going terribly wrong if the process is moving so fast? It just seems so unreal that it IS moving so fast :)

Hi Guys!

I'm kind of in the same boat right now and I'm not sure what to make of it. The following is my current timeline:

9/3/2007 – First Met

1/5/2012 – Married

1/24/2012 – Submitted I-130, I-485, I-765, I-131

1/26/2012 – Applications received by USCIS (Day 1)

2/6/2012 – Hardcopy NOA Confirmation of Receipt (Day 12)

2/6/2012 – Received Biometrics Appointment Notice (Day 12)

2/21/2012 – Biometrics Appointment (Day 27)

3/2/2012 - Received email notification for an interview scheduled for Apr. 5, 2012 (Day 36)

Although we have been scheduled for our interview on April 5th, I still haven't received anything regarding my EAD or my AP. Should this be a concern as I have travel plans outside the US on May 4th? Or is everything moving quicker than usual? Just curious if someone else has experienced something similar. Thanks guys!
