I returned with my wife from HCMC to Los Angeles.

I promised my wife that we would see the Sunrise in HCMC and the Sunset in L.A.!

We left HCMC at 12 noon ( got a free upgrade to the upper part of the 747 ) EVA through Tawain

Completed customs at 5:00pm LAX (The same calender day Sunday 27-2-05)

Checked into hotel 5 miles from LAX (Sepulv. Blvd) El Segundo, took a shower, and then

got a taxi to the Newport Beach Pier in time for the sunset, YES! (Watched the Academy Awards eating fish tacos)

Next Day, rented a car......drove to Orange County "Little Sai Gon" for some VNs soup for my wife and then we went to Disneyland, her first day in America! ( I feel asleep for 2 hours in Disney with jet lag)

After:

Hollywood and overlook

Venice Beach

Largest Thai Buddist Temple (give thanks)

Desert Drive to Lake Havasu

Las Vegas...........................

Oh yeah that flight from Asia to LAX is a fun one, mind you I came from Seoul! That sounds like a wonderful welcome to America, sunrise - sunset THEN Disneyland the next day! =)

I wanted to go back to Russia and fly back with Olga but thanks to a IMBRA we got the interview a little earlier then expected.

I'm thinking a day at Old Tucson Studios, International Wildlife Museum, and Saguaro National Monument.

when she can travel ouside the US, Rocky Point.

I might drive over to see a friend in Oregon on my way over. On the way back we will probably land in Portland. Then we might drive to the coast and see places like Sea Lion caves. I was thinking Timberline Lodge on Mount Hood, but the climate change between the Philippines and Mount Hood at 6000 feet in late November would be too much.

She will be arriving los angeles probably so Southern California. Disney, Sea World type places maybe, find some good seafood restaurants, look at the ocean, maybe take the Amtrak up the coast, trip to the Rockies on the way to Arizona...

If he arrives the week we're thinking about, my daughter may be riding in the state finals for her equestrian team, so he'll be coming to a smelly horse show with all of us!

A great marriage is not when the "perfect couple" comes together.

It is when an imperfect couple learns to enjoy their differences.
