After several months of waiting and a few minor emotional breakdowns, as of Sept 11 (according to the update online) we are approved. We are so happy. Of course, we know there is yet more waiting and frustration as it has to go through the next set of flaming hoops of despair, but one step at a time. Yippee.

Anyone know how long it takes it to go through the NVC? Do you continue to check on the USCIS website for updates on this?

Thanks, y'all.

Congratulations!

Now you'll have to contact NVC by either calling or e-mailing them after 2 weeks, approx., as it seems the service centers send the cases in batches to NVC. You won't get online updates on the case anymore on the USCIS website.

I only offer advice - not even legal. Just the plain and simple kind.

Thanks. What is funny (sort-of anyway) is I got all worked up and called my congressman, made an appointment to see his secretary tomorrow at 10 am, and I start the "and I am going to tell them this and that..." Then I get an approval today. I was all geared up for a good complaining session.

I should have called the congressman ages ago - he didn't even have to do anything.

You had your complaint ready. I'm sure you were fired up. Well, at least you hadn't ranted and raved to your congressman's staff, then received the approval notice. Like opps! LOL! Cheers!!! - Sheriff Uling
