OMG i didnt know the timeline dates could change ..so mine could get shorter or longer... can anyone tell me why? i thought once u added info it didnt change..oh well im faithfully reading everything i can so im fully ready when my day comes :

The estimates are based on a formula developed from how people enter their timelines - if people get quicker approvals, it can change the timeline and visa versa - But it's an estimate, not written in stone and not from the USCIS.

sent my i-130 DCF june 21, still no word!! i'm getting nervous because i see all of you got your noa's pretty quickly!! should i be worried??

submitted pack june 1, was received on the 7th, i received the NOA on the 13th and just got the biometrics appointment last saturday, june 25, schedule of appoitment is for next month july 12..

i dont know if i can do the biometrics sooner that the specified date or i should strictly follow the given time and hour.

OMG!!! called about a topigraphical error and more drastic human error casued.

One the receipt of 2 of 3 of my receipt received on June 7th showed my name spelt incorrectly.

Called USCIS customer service line following week to correct name. Got reference # for correction.

3rd week received confirmation in mail of change BUT, mail was addressed to my 2 under 21 sons of whom I am filing for and who does not live at my address.

called back uscis to tell them that change was not made. Got someone who said they could not help so they put me through to another guy who appeared to be intoxicated and does not know what he is saying as I explained to him that the confirmation letter was sent in son's name and should be my name with correct spelling. This dude told me "it was ok cause on the master application I-130 it shows me as the petiioner and kids and husband as beneficiary. I told him to send this to me in writing of the changes again as Immigration does things based on LEGAL PAPERWORK and not word of mouth. Dissatified with answer I called back.

Rep told me she could not help but it needs to be fixed. By God's divine help, call got transferred to an Immigration Officer who told me straight blank that the first rep messed up my paper work, switched my name as the petitioner to beneficiary hence why the records listed my 2 sons in Jamaica as filing for me. Furthermore, the same rep did not fully correct my name on file. The IO sincerely apologized for the mix up after verifying the correct information on the master records and gave me a NEW confirmation # to correct ALL errors made by the USCIS Cust. Rep. Thanked the IO for his help.

You can imagine how I was feeling stressed out and distraught over ERRORS made by human that COULD HAVE POSSIBLY DELAYED my sons from entering USA in time with my husband as the whole paperwork was mixed up.

Thank God I had good sense to call and verify and clarify and receive WRITTEN confirmation of changes. ALWAYS, check, double check, and request written confirmation with these documents cause humans make mistakes and can possible delay your processes.

Our was sent June 20th. NOA1 email received June 24th. Hard copy received not long after that. Getting waity now.

quickatie - probably obvious questions but do you have a tracking number for the package you sent to make sure it arrived? did you send the e-notification form?

we sent our I-130 for myself and my son on the 4th June, they received it on the 6th June, NOA1 email received 9th June, hard copy received 16th June, our NOA1 date is the 7th June. woohoo.

and we are being processed at California

You can see that info by setting up an account with USCIS. One of the columns says "last updated." When that date changes, the file has been "touched."

I will tell you this, if you were to log in many times looking for an update, you will drive yourself crazy as that date rarely, if ever, changes.

My husband mailed our I-130 yesterday, June 29.

I hope our entire visa journey will be smooth-sailing.

Hey guys thanks for continuing to share your journey with me.. i have been with my husband 2 years and married 2 and 1/2 months so i am BEYOND ready for this journey to get ROLLING... i am guilty of looking at the uscis website more than i care to mention and RYAN is correct...nuttin na gwaan over dere...lol.. anyhoo...call it crazy or OCD, but every visit to my husband which is roughly every six to eight weeks, im taking forms with me, trying to ensure that we will be adequately ready, i DONT wanna deal with the JA mail system at all..LOL..

anyhoo continue to give u_dates.. im learning as we go....HAVE a great Holiday weekend everyone!!!!

1. Am I eligible for IR1/R1

2. Will it help to speed up the visa process, if I apply K3 visa now with I-129F along with copy of I-130 NOA1

3. I heard that now I-130 and I-129F are processing at the same time and people advised me to just apply for I-130 and not to apply for I-129 F. Any suggestions

2. Will it help to speed up the visa process, if I apply K3 visa now with I-129F along with copy of I-130 NOA1 No, if you submit the I-129F in conjuntion with the I-130, USCIS will pull your I-130 from its current place in the queue and place it with the I-129F you just submitted. That's how they tie the two petitions together.

3. I heard that now I-130 and I-129F are processing at the same time and people advised me to just apply for I-130 and not to apply for I-129 F. Any suggestions See my last answer. While filing the I-129F is ultimately up to you, my suggestion is to let the I-130 run its course alone.
