My husband (a petitioner) just got an email from NVC yesterday, (checklist cover letter) said that they've received and reviwed his documents (AOS packet) and they're still WAITING for the Immigrant Visa Application (DS-230) and corresponding civil documents...

:( I mailed my DS-230 and the documents on June 07 2011, via DHL and its been delivered on June 09, 2011 (picked up in Boston?!) that's the last time I heard about my packet as well...week later I email NVC to see if they've received my application and documents yet but they told me, to wait 20 business day and can't tell if they've received it or not. :( what should we do now? :( I dont want to delay the process..and don't want my application to be lost somewhere!

Ps, my husband mailed his packet a few days ahead of me

You're fine, please relax! As soon as NVC reviews a package, they issue a false RFE asking for the other package, not checking first if that package is in the building somewhere.

Hi Aimee$Julio, we got the same kind of email today and we had already sent our DS-230 pkg about 5 days ago. Did this issue resolve itself or did you have to send the same documents again? Did you have to call them to get it fixed? Thanks

I just got the same email on the DS 230.

I called up NVC and they said it typically takes 20 business days once the package arrives at NVC for them to action it. Our packet was delivered June 27, 2011, so just going to wait it out for few more days and hope they opent he packet and review it and the next notification we get is about the interview date.
