I suppose it certainly does. It must be a whole different immigration experience for those from high fraud countries. It's unfortunate that the legitimate married couples are paying for what criminals do.

I am afraid so.

Seems like the rate is 75% for Morocco.

Makes the Consulate position more understandable.

Where did you get that figure?

There was a multi page thread discussing this consulate some months back.

I remember the number mentioned.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

Live in Morroco for awhile. Get drunk and locked up in the local drunk tank as often as you can, and then call US Citizens Assistance service at the Embassy to come get you out. After about 2-3 months of getting up at 3am to go get you out, they will be happy to approve his VISA just to get rid of you :)

Hahah. That's hysterical.I love your thinking. That's the route I will go if Casablanca never approves my finace's visa. Love your sense of humor.

Hi,

I would like to know, because it seems that there are three of you who have CR-1 Petitions, how long it was from meeting each other to when you got married? I saw that for one of you it was 8 months, and on the first visit. How about the others?

I don't think it matters

That has to be hard on you ...2 years and deny  I'm so sorry. What more they want ? Something isn't right.

At first it was very hard but what do u do ! now we r just waiting , it will be 1 year since his last interview in september! We did ask over and over why? nobody really knew just said my inlaws didn't smile in a photo so be very careful with photos u choose! they told our senator he never told them I was living in Morocco but then we went over the questions she asked him and that was one of the first questions she asked him and he answered her with 2 years she has lived in morocco with me! So truly who knows! Just hope And pray next time goes better!

You made four red flag points. Items 2, 3 and 4 don't look like a problem to me.

It could be very well be a problem if a combination of factors are NOT the cultural norm for that particular country. Such as the fact that average Moroccan men usually don't marry non-Muslim women older than them. That usually throws up red-flags. Combine that with marrying on the first meeting and you can see what the Consulate is getting at.

A word of advice: Be very careful with the evidence you submit including emails and pictures. You are painting a picture here and you wanna make sure you're using the right colors.

I am so sorry to hear of your denial and I wish you the best. People do not realize how hard it is to get approved from Morocco. The redflags posted in this thread are very true because over the years I have seen so many approved but also denied and usually those red flags are the reason. It is all a waiting game in this process and I understand waiting...

I met my husband online in Dec 2007 and went to Morocco for 4.5 weeks in Nov 2008 and then waited until July 2010 to go back to Morocco again and get married this time I stayed 5 weeks and we just celebrated our 1 year anniversary last week and I am just now getting ready to file in the next couple of weeks for him to come here and I also have a 3 week trip planned to Morocco in Dec of this year once again. We have taken our time with this process and I am hoping it is worth the wait :)

Inshallah things will be good for all!!!

I agree wholeheartily with this statement. People tend to forget that immigration isnt a right. Just like driving isnt a right. If you really want to be together, and the US consulate isnt approving of this move, why dont you as the USC move to your partners country and try that route.

I know for my husband and I, we talked about whom would move to whom. We wanted to be together, where wasnt an issue. We both knew going into this process that if for some reason I wasnt permitted to move to the USA, then we would go the spousal route and bring him up to Canada. I think that all couples should have this conversation and try to be prepared for anything with a back up plan or two. :)

Good luck to you both

I totally agree.... Our K-1 was sent back for review then administrativley closed so I went back and we married there... Now we are going to try for the CR-1.... If this one is denied then we already decided I will move.... I have a daughter and her fatehr may give me problems about moving her out of the country so we thought it would be best to try everything else before I move there....I you trully love each other all that should matter is that you are together wether you are in your own country or theirs....
