I am in the AOS EAD and AP Pending stage.

Ok so MY conundrum is as follows:

I received the following emails in this order.

"Your Case Status: Card/ Document Production

On May 26, 2011, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed...". I'm thinking ok cool it will be here soon, finally some action, maybe my green-card want be far behind.

Then I get this...

"Your Case Status: Card/ Document Production

On June 1, 2011, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed ".

OOOOOkay I guess they are just making sure, that's fine. But today I get this

"Your Case Status: Post Decision Activity

On June 2, 2011, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I765 APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION..."

Going backwards? Odd huh?

Has anyone anyone else received similar emails? Or an I just going mental :bonk:

Its not really the messages, But the order they came in. My USCIS case status has change from "Card/Document Production" Back to "Post Decision Activity". It has Literally gone backwards. I'm thinking its the usual 1 step forward 2 steps back. Who knows I think its just odd.

Yeah that's normal :) Happens to everyone :P You'll probably get another email or two between now and when you get the card.

The first one (production) is actually usually when you're actually approved

The second one (post-decision) is usually when they're sending your the approval letter

The third is usually after they've actually posted the card OR can be it arriving at the card printing place

The fourth (if you get one) would be the posting of the card.

Normally it's three but I have heard of 4. Nothing to stress about :)

The reason is POST-decision means "after decision" so it IS the correct order of email generations but I assume the dots USED to be in order but aren't now. It's supposed to be "approval, post-decision, printing" but it seems they skip approval and go straight to printing (which means approval) and then they go backwards because really the first dot should have been "approval".. if that makes sense.

I know it seems weird going backwards. Received exactly the same messages and after the post-decision message I got my EAD card in like 2 days. USCIS does not make sense sometimes, what matters is getting those cards finally :-)

Hi! I was kinda worried because it happened to me too . I just checked it today and it went post decision activity from card production . Then I logged in here and researched about it and felt reief. A little bit weird because I just got mail last Friday for EAD biometrics which we just did 30mins. ago. I am just wondering what's going on....Do u guys have any idea?.....Thank you very much!
