Hello Vjers,

We are working on the K2 for my soon to be step son. I told my fiancee not to take any chances and to enroll him in school in the Philippine while waiting for the procedure to be completed. So happily we both agreed.

We hope his case is done by Sept. Like that I can enroll him here in USA when he arrives.

Here is the question:

Should my fiancee comes to USA now? We are planning to ask her ate to bring him for his medical and interview when USEM notified us that he is ready to apply for the K2. (Right now my fiancee's case is getting transferred from Dubai to USEM.)

My fiancee has 1 month with her VISA. I know she has 5 more months to go. We are not 100% if she should comes now or wait a bit longer to see if she can get the k2 for her son before her 6 months is up.

Any help will be greatly appreciated it.

Honestly, nobody can really answer this question for you because put simply it's a judgement call.

Have you succeeded in transferring the K-2 case to the US Embassy in Manila yet? You can expect the process to take 2 - 3 months from the time Manila receives the case.

Since she's not even in the Philippines why would you want her to wait? If your plan is for her to return to the Philippines for the son's interview then you could just have her come to the US now, AOS immediately and apply for Advance Parole so she can fly to the Philippines for the child's interview.

You answered the question without asking. She is in the Philippines already. Learn to ask questions before jumping to wrong conclusions.

But thanks for the tip about AOS. I was thinking doing that soon also because we like to have a nice wedding celebration with her family.

To the OP, when someone answers your question politely, it is a good idea to be polite in your response back instead of dismissive. You stand a better chance of getting helpful responses that way.

Wow, seriously!?!? Even after all the thread-drama you create over and over I still take the time to give you a good answer and you have to reply with an dismissive insult?

Maybe you should (I'll repeat my previous advice from a few of your earlier train0wreck threads because it bears repeating) LEARN TO GIVE ALL RELEVANT INFORMATION when you're asking for advice.

Don't you wonder why the first few replies in this thread had to be removed?

How about why I'm the only one who has bothered to give you any helpful advice?

Maybe it's your posting style:

The way to come off as concealing information and then if someone gives you advice that isn't exactly what you want to her you insult them...

Don't worry JR, you'll never have to correct my assumptions again as I'll be keeping them (and my advice) to myself when you're involved from hereafter.

Bob, why would you even take time to give advice when you know how is he? Look, nobody in the forum gave advices except you. Why? Because this guy is confusing? He will create a question/scenario/situation that is really a bit "cloudy" and that he is the only one who understands the real score. He will throw it away to VJ, we answer based on how we interpret his question. But guess what? Our answers will be wrong because only him knows the real "question". If our answers doesn't fit to his way if thinking, he will become dismissive and insist that he only knows why. So, we should be following this: no talk, no mistake!

You should ask VJ members devastedme and angel07forever. Both of them are in the exact same situation as you are. Why don't you send them a PM. I'm sure they would be glad to help you.

Can you describe fast? Right now my fiancee has her visa. We are just waiting for her documents to be transferred to the USEM.

I wish they can be here by Sept. I really want them to come together. She loves her kid and I think I love him more. ! (L)

study P3 and P4 timings for Manila - the son will 'hit those timings' on a K-2 follow to join case,

if, indeed, the FTJ case was started at Manila IV office.

I am very confused by 'the facts' in your particular case.

If she does have a visa now, it was done in Dubai, yes?

So why is HER casefile being transferred to Manila?

Oh - it's being transferred because it's needed in Manila for the K-2 FTJ case.

Once her casefile is in Manila, and you've already requested a K-2 FTJ case with the Embassy there in Manila,

it's the standard timings between P3 and P4, but YOU can jumpstart the P3 ops on the K-2, directly with Manila...

Okay, She got her visa in dubai but her son lives in the Phil. So after she got her visa in Dubai, she went to Phil to apply for her son's k2. When we called USEM, they told us to send a notarized letter to USEM asking for our case to be transferred to USEM from Dubai. We sent the letter and now we are waiting for our case to be transferred to USEM. We already paid the K2 Visa fee.
