Our Visa Journey

16 posts in this topic

Recommended Posts

So, after careful checking of documents and making sure everything is there, I have sent off our Application for K-1 Visa about 10 min ago. It wasnt easy and it took forever to prepare documents almost 3 weeks after receiving papers from the Misses (total of 5 weeks). But Im glad and now the wait begins. For all you guys that have started this process, dont give up. If you truly want it you'll be patient and hope for the best. Prayer is always a good method to fall back on in times of worry and strife. Thank all of you guys for your info and support and there will be plenty in the times to come.

Yozhik

But I mean, really patient. Some people start optimistic and then after 2 months can't seem to control themselves and let aside if the "5 month mark" is passed. Some people call USCIS every day several times a day to check their status and want to jump off the window if they get an RFE. I say program your mind to wait for 6 months, if it happens before then great. Keep yourself busy, get a hobby, and be positive! Register your case number on the USCIS web page and check your case there. You can ask to get a text message and an email when your status change. We got the three of them. Good luck on your journey!! :dancing:

Congratulations on starting your journey! I completely agree that you must strive as much as possible to set yourself on calm mode and be open to bumps along the way without stressing yourself out too much over them. Stay on the forums and you will constantly find answers to questions that you hadn't even thought to ask! I agree also, that for the spiritual individual, prayer is a wonderful way to keep things cool and in perspective. Best of luck on your journey and I hope you can be with your loved one as soon as possible!
