Am I going overboard

Here is what my I-129F cover sheet looks like:

- Enclosed Check $340

- G1145 Electronic Notification

- I-129F Form

- I-129F Supplemental Sheet #1 (for fiancée's address)

- I-129F Supplemental Sheet #2 (for Question 18 describing the circumstances under which we met).

- Front and Back of Certificate of Naturalization

- My Letter of Intent (notarized in USA)

- Her Letter of Intent (notarized in India as she has never set foot in the USA)

- My G325A form

- Supplemental attachment to G325A (for my overseas Address before i was naturalized)

- my 2x2 photo (in ziploc bag, bag stapled to blank sheet of paper)

- Her G325A form

- Supplemental attachment to G325A (for her residence address and work addresses)

- her 2x2 photo (in ziploc bag, bag stapled to blank sheet of paper)

Proof of having met:

- my airline e-tickets from Nov-Dec 2010

- my airline e-tickets from Mar 2011

- credit card statements showing charges and departure dates for the above trips

- bank statement showing overseas ATM withdrawal from my debit card

- passport (all pages), indicating arrival/exit date stamps from my two trips

- printable boarding pass for my return trip from my mar 2011 trip (i lost all my boarding passes)

- pictures from the first visit

- pictures from our mar 2011 engagement ceremony

- invitation card for our engagement ceremony

proof of ongoing relationship

- facebook messages (one original message chain, 3 pages)

- gmail (9 email chains, 12 pages)

- google voice (10 sms messages, 3 pages)

- phone call records from rebtel (cheap rates to india) (20 pages since oct 2010 to present day)

- phone call records from itelfone (voip service which includes unlimited india calling) (21 pages since dec 2010 to present day)

- copy of handwritten letter by my fiancée (4 pages)

the proof of ongoing relationship itself prints out to a huge book.

I think there is ample proof here in my support but im thinking is this all necessary... I dont want to overburden the USCIS with things to look at (and delay the process).

So I will ask again... Am I going overboard with my petition.

thanks,

cchhat01

USCIS won't read your 'book' of relationship history. Whether or not that equates to going overboard or not - guess that is for you to decide.

Save the book for the interview.

No, they do not require any notarization. We just had our letters of intent notarized because I'm going by the example of a friend of mine.

He did not receive any RFE.

I would not notarize the G325A if I were you.

Ok. I think I will stick to just the emails and facebook messages to prove history.

call records can come later at the interview. that should about do it.

thanks.

The 325 is not needed to be Notorized but Attourneys always say the Letter of Intent by the petitioner is Not required but a plus when Notorized. (I don't know why, I had mine Notorized.) My Attourney said: It would be better if I did.

I might be wrong, but you said One Passport 2x2 picture. I thought it was 2 pictures.

I did not see in your Petition: (although it maynot apply) Free to Marry on each P/B for the 129-F. As Far as what you listed. (It's required anyway with your petition)

Other than that, you look like you did a good job with the Application.

Good Luck to you...

At this point they really just want to see that you two have met. Proof of an ongoing relationship is not very important at this point. I would include a small detail or two to prove you are still involved but honestly with out packet, I do not believe I sent any, I just wrote about the continuation of our relationship in the explanation of our relationship I sent them and thank God, we did not receive any RFEs.

12-27-2010: I-129F arrived at USCIS sent packet on 12/23

Just a couple examples, scattered through various dates, of each type of evidence is enough. You can black out anything personal. I'm not sure they won't read everything and that would end up taking them more time to process your case. They might have to read it all, to catch red flags.

we included two pictures of us taken together in the usa with a simple 2 line phrase on the app stating the dates we met in person. as for the other relationship stuff i kept it and brought it to the interview, and the consular office did ask to see it , and you can keep it for your proof of relationship folder for AOS after the wedding if you have an interview.

also frontloading with alot of info like that is very good for certain consulates..you'd have to check reviews of yours to see how they are.

Si, man. USCIS will not care what you send as long as the USCIS requirements are fulfilled, but the consulates aren't permitted to ignore evidence that they know USCIS has seen. Read the reviews for your eventual consulate and spend time reading and communicating in your Regional subforum here.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Yeah I am pretty sure you need 2 passport pics each not just one. And leave the pictures (book) not needed now all they want is to know that you have met in the last 2 years and a letter of intent. They wont even look at that stuff. A few pics like 3-5 and that's it is all we sent. And as mentioned before make sure the engagement pics don't look like wedding photos.

Divorced !st November 2012.

Married only 2 years 1 month

Well our engagement ceremony was pretty lavish, i was wearing a suit and she was wearing something traditional.

they can be mistaken for wedding pics, infact many of my facebook friends mistook them for wedding pics and started congratulating me thinking that I got married.

I'm only printing pics in which we're putting the ring on each other's ring finger, some snaps with all our parents lined up...

It really was a big function, but the truth is that it was simply an engagement ceremony.

even the invitation card printed shows it was was just that.

@Barbara J:

This is coming straight out of the instructions for the I-129F. I know you're trying to help but you just confused the heck out of me.

Give USCIS a passport-style color photograph of yourself and a passport-style color photograph of your fiancé(e), with both photos taken within 30 days of the date of filing this petition. The photos must have a white background, be glossy, un-retouched and not mounted. The dimension of the full frontal facial image of you and your fiancé(e) in separate photos should be about one inch from your chin to the top of your hair. Using a pencil or felt pen, lightly print the name (and Alien Registration Number, if known) on the back of each photograph.

No where in here does it state two photos.
