2 years and 2 months for me and we already have a baby but then it feels like everyday i always fall in love with the same man. It's not how short or long you've known each other and not how near of far you are with each other , its all about how you love each other. I am glad to say that he have a long patience in waiting for my annulment to get done and God was so kind to us, after 3 long years of waiting i got my decision last February 14, 2011. And now we are so excited to start the process.

I was just wondering how long everyone knew there fiance before filing for the K1 visa? I was going to post this as a response to another post, but I just thought it was an interesting question.

I just find it interesting the different lengths of time it took for people to file. I a sure for various reasons. I am thinking that it did not take long for people to wait in countries that were far away from one another and took a great expense to travel to, like the U.S. and China. On the other hand I would think that people from places where traveling to see them might not be as difficult, like the U.S. and Canada, might take longer. I hope that made sense. Probably not.

I think this info is in some peoples time lines but not in every ones.

My fiance and I met online and knew each other 8 months before I filed for the K1.

We filed at least a year and a half after meeting eachother and spending time with eachother talking on line via phone and seeing eachother in person ..

We met online and fell in love. We married 3 months after meeting and I filed for his visa the following month. Our love has stood the test of a long visa journey. We haven't seen each other in 15 months and are now stuck in AP. We chat online twice a day and try to have a date night every 2 weeks where we don't discuss the visa process.

Time is only relative, I have known her for a year but it was not until after my first visit to her in Brazil was it decided now its been almost 2 years.

All I really know is I want her for my wife, And she feels the same about me. The process has been long It has been difficult, at times she has been so lonely for me and I for her. Even though we are in constant contact daily it is not the same as being with her in person, which is what we both miss the most. Now her interview date is almost here, the anxiety begins again...waiting for a decision from people who do not know us to decide our fate and grant her permission to marry me. If she were in this country and from this country it would be different we would be married. The only thing I have now is to trust in God. And hope everything goes well. I am sure many have been thru this...waiting the results of the Interview
