Interesting conversation here... I don't think there is any point of calling 1800 line - REALLY don't bother - I would guess you will get the same answer like I did - February 24th was the timeframe for them when I called yesterday (I didn't have any hopes anyway). I am wondering if they update the website and what date wil replace magical feb 24th this month. I do believe most of April fillers will get approved by the end of November though but I might be wrong since we have a big holiday coming up!

Congrats to approved ones! Hopefully next week will bring us more.

I pozdrawiam rodaków jeśli tacy tu są!!! :D

Well excuuuuuuuusseeeee me :-) didnt realize may filers had to stick to the may filers posting. Didnt you just say that VJ is a platform for everyone to express their own experience etc with this immigration process? So that doesnt make any sense with what you just wrote...because that would mean everyone can post where they want too.....helloooooooo.... smh.

Anyways...!! Enough of that ....back to counting down my .3 days.... :-p:

deidre,

Forgive me if I implied you were restricted to a certain thread. That was not at all my meaning.

I simply pointed out that it is mean-spirited to effectively gang up on and rebuke someone because you dislike their point of view. I then implied that as you had crossed over from another thread (which is normally perfectly fine), you were putting in even more effort than normal to be mean-spirited. So yes, as you say, you are excused! :-)

Hopefully, given this disclosure, what I said makes a lot more sense?

Well queuedup....I guess since you are right ahead of me "maybe" we will get approval soon? I haven't even bothered calling USCIS and we are past the 7 month mark now. I don't know if it will even make a difference if I call. My husband seems to think the same...we may be able to apply for citizenship before we get the 10 yr greencard. :wacko:

:ot: Ok so I know I need to go look in another topic, but I honestly don't know where to start looking. If someone could point me in the right direction I would be grateful! My husband's (LPR) mother and two sisters were approved for a vistor's visa. They were approved for 5 years. I'm not even sure what the visitor's visa is called, the file you send in to apply for that etc. My husband says that they are approved for 5 years and that once they enter the US, they can only stay for 6 months, then must leave and re-enter the US to stay another 6 months? Does anyone know if this is correct? I saw something on USCIS website about extending your visitor visa but I'm not sure if I am looking at the right thing. Anyone have a clue?

Thank you!

I hope you are right. I almost forget about it sometimes since my husband is actually here with me through this part. I have to keep reminding myself that we are still waiting & that I need to be on top of it!

:lol::thumbs:

Who thought a British summer would feel so pleasant?

:ot2:

They updated timeframe on the website-back to 6 months...

Thanks for the info. I called today as it has been 7 months and raised a service request. I'm sure it won't make any difference and I will have to wait for ever like I did for the biometrics appointment! :whistle:

Maybe the fact that they changed the dates means they have processed a lot of cases? :unsure:
