We received our NOA1 on Sept. 23, 2010. It has only been "touched" once and that date was Oct. 3, 2010. I called last week to ask about our progress since we have waited through the 5 month target processing time. I was told to wait 33 more days if we had not heard anything. This means I need to call back on April 4th. I was told they are still processing the end of August filers. I hope it moves along quickly and we hear something before the 33 days. I just missed my financee's birthday because of this delay :-(

I suggest going into the Progress Reports forum and checking out the September thread for the Vermont Service Center. It will give you an idea of where everyone is at in the process and who is still waiting.

We were at the California Service Center, so don't know if you want our info too, but here you go. We got our NOA1 on Sept 10, 2010. A couple of days past the 5 month mark, I called CSC to ask about our petition. I was then emailed a letter saying I'd have a decision within 45 days of that call. I then got the NOA2 on Feb 25, less than two weeks later. I don't know if that call helped, but it can't hurt, right?

Sure. :)

Then just click on the September VSC thread.

To find this, I clicked on the main Forums link at the top of the page. Right under the main K1 form, it lists the progress reports forum. :)

NOA1 on Sep. 20th

I was able to get to Tier 2 and put a service request on March 1st, and was told that I will receive some sort of notification in writing within 10 days. I assume, it will be a letter telling me that everything is as it should be and I just need to wait 30-45-60 days. In any case, nothing in the mail so far.

09-20-10 NOA1

04-06-11 NOA2

04-14-11 Left NVC

04-25-11 I emailed the embassy

Thanks for the input Coconuts. I was aware of the thread you are referring to. My intention was to solicited some responses from September NOA1's directly as the topic indicates. I can also see from your timeline that you should be happy that you didn't have to go through the VDS. My sincere congratulations to you and your significant other.

Thank you for your thoughtfulness.

Well, to be fair, when I filed, California was the slow service center. :) Hopefully it will turn around again for those waiting in Vermont!
