I came into the USA on a CR1 visa in July 22, 2010. When is the best time to file for remove of conditions? We was suppose to send the documents in december but a friend was insisting it can be done in July 2011. Advice pls and thank you.

take a look at yer green card, ya?

there's an expiration date on it.

Back up 90 days from 'that' date, and file.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

You file for ROC three months to the date it's set to expire on your green card not when you came into the USA. Hope that helps.

USCIS has to RECEIVE it not earlier than Saturday, April 23 and not later than Friday, July 22, 2012.

There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism. When I refer to hyphenated Americans, I do not refer to naturalized Americans. Some of the very best Americans I have ever known were naturalized Americans, Americans born abroad. But a hyphenated American is not an American at all . . . .
