I have emailed Angela 3 times with no response. I also sent an email to California Service Center, waiting for a response.

I finally got a response back from her indicating she'll look into it on Monday. So basically the info that I got from USCIS indicating that my file was transferred to Cali was totally inaccurate. My file is still in TX. Like seriously, how many differing responses can one department give constituents?

08/24/2011: Embassy Interview

09/14/2011: Visa granted

09/18/2011: POE Houston!!!

Total time from beginning to end: 406 days (1 year, 1 month, 10 days)

I finally got a response back from her indicating she'll look into it on Monday. So basically the info that I got from USCIS indicating that my file was transferred to Cali was totally inaccurate. My file is still in TX. Like seriously, how many differing responses can one department give constituents?

The way I see it linzi, is that USCIS customer service have no clue what has been going on. The only answers I trust are from the girls at TSC now. I think a lot of this mess has been caused by so much misinformation being told by call centers. I THINK I read somewhere that the USCIS customer service facilities are run by franchised private companies. (I may be well off the mark there). I'm glad she responded to you.

I did errands for half a day, check in on VJ, and WHOA!!! Our thread was closed!! And to think I was on here till 4am last.

New house, new life.

Probably this will be a truly happy thread, unlike the first part where majority of our posts were frustrations.

We will probably be at 100% approval by end of this month.

Mine was transferred to CSC, and Angela was able to confirm that for me (after three different transfer notices in as many days). I think she is able to track down all of the cases regardless of whether or not they've been transferred.

USCIS – 171 days
08.03.2010: Sent I-130 (Received at Chicago Lockbox on 08.05.2010 – Priority Date)
08.24.2010: NOA1 – Notice Date (Case transferred from CSC to TSC on 11.02.2010 and back to CSC on 02.07.2011)
02.11.2011: NOA2 – Approved! (hard copy received on 02.17.2011)

NVC – 46 days
02.26.2011: Got NVC case number from AVR (entered on 02.24.2011)
02.28.2011: Called operator to give email addresses and get IIN; emailed beneficiary's change of address and DS-3032; received instruction emails from NVC; AOS fee bill invoiced and paid
03.01.2011: AOS fee shown as "paid"
03.03.2011: DS-3032 accepted; beneficiary's address updated by NVC; IV fee bill invoiced and paid
03.07.2011: IV fee shown as "paid"; AOS and IV packets sent out together via USPS Priority Mail (delivered on 03.09.2011)
03.22.2011: AVR and operator tells us we will receive an RFE

Exactly, I cannot believe it! Well, actually I can...it's just absurd that all of this is happening at our expense...at the expense of having our loved ones soo far from us....I mean you can't really plan your life, or do much when the most important person in your life is tens and thousands of miles away. Like we pay for this! It's one thing if this is just a free service, but we are paying for them to give us scripted answers, insensitive remarks, and giving us the run around. I'm totally trying to be positive too, but it's becoming increasingly difficult when you hear contradicting responses when you just want the truth.
