hey y'all, i m new to this thread - but i thought it might distract me a lil since i m getting really excited. :help:

i can t wait for time to pass and finally get this interview done. i think i ll dance through the streets when they tell me everything s fine and the visa will be issued soon. i m scared... what if... guess i m kinda paranoid. this process and the related wait has been so nerve racking so far and i m still scared sth might happen. i can t wait for this to be done - and to be reunited with my hubby after this soooo long time. Dear all,

I'm also new to this thread. I have my CR1 interview scheduled at the Montreal consulate in early July. I'm wondering if someone with experience at this consulate can tell me whether or not my Wife (who is a US citizen) is to accompany me to the interview? The interview letter did not mention anything about bringing her to the interview, but I want to know if it will help or make a difference if she does?

Thanks for your help!

For the consulate in Montreal, the petitioner is not needed at all. Of course she's allowed, but Montreal is really easy and having the petitioner there doesn't really make a difference.

Thanks very much Saylin. I'll be sure to post my experience once I get back. Thanks for your help :-) Have a nice day!

Ok guys...latest update on our situation.....Gary got a call from the consulate today. They want him to come in and bring his notorized Divorce certificate ib June 22nd at 9a. They did not say this was another interview, they seem to just want this document so they can process to conclusion. They said his medical was just entered today and all is perfect on it. Any ideas on why he can't just send this document in instead of coming in person? At his initial interview they kept his passport and were just waiting for a clear medical. Do you think he just needs to sign some paperwork to finalize the process? I"m an absolute nervous wreck again. They AGAIN said they realize the urgency of our case and we are on expedite. I feel everything wil be OK but after Texas California I am so gun shy.....Peace and love to all.....rose.gif

Weird they're asking for that after they've been saying all they needed was the medical. Have you tried calling and asking if Gary can just email it in? Saves times going there in person. I really hope this ends for you two soon!

Gary is going to call the consulate tomorrow to try and gleam more information. If they need him to sign documentation to finalize everything I can understand that. They did not even say this was a 2nd interview over the phone. I know every case is different and handled differently so I pray to god this will be the conclusion. Praying HARD!!!!

 Thanks for all your good wishes. As Val said, the problem with my medical examination is now solved, and I am booked in for an interview at the London Embassy this coming Wednesday. We are hoping for good news finally.

The whole process has gotten me down of late, so I have kept a low profile on VJ. Congratulations to the many people who are in the USA, or pending interviews. It's been a very long, torturous journey, and this forum has kept many of us glued to the task in hand.

Good luck and good fortune to each and every one of us!

No... he did not sign anything when he was there.... The CO just seemed to want to get his medical sorted out and then process us to completion. Thank GOD the medical is sorted now.
