Our AOS to “ADJUST STATUS “(I-485) application was transferred on February 8, 2011 to the CSC office. As I have read many commentaries on VJ, this may mean that we skip the interview process, and, have a chance of an expedited GC! We are so very excited, yet still remain very reserve after receiving this news. Like others, with our case we received notification of the transfer, but no biometrics letter sent as of yet. However, again reading past notes on JV I understand this to be normal, and we will get notice of our biometrics appointment from our local USCIS office soon. I only wish I knew the statistics of those transferred to the CSC that did not have to undergo the interview. Yes, I realize statistics will not help us. Nevertheless, it is comforting to know the odds. (Smile) We are not that concerned about the interview so much, but rather looking to be expedited a GC so we can pursue life a bit more on the normal side of the road. (Smile) Any inputs from our friends out here on VJ would be greatly appreciated as always! May God’s hands be on your visa process as well.

From what I've read it really seems hit or miss when it comes to getting your GC early after transfer to CSC. Some people received theirs within a couple of months and others are still waiting. Mine was transferred there at the start of this month so I'm your boat! I'm trying not to keep my hopes up but I'm checking my case status online everyday :P

There does not seem to be much consistency in the process but I can provide our info for comparison sake.

Sent I-485 to adjust status from K-1 in November 2010, biometrics Dec. 23rd, case transfered to CSC on 12/31, received GC on 4 Feb 2011 (then received welcome letter on 7 Feb saying GC should arrive in approx 3 weeks). hmm

Kind of funny that we received the GC before the letter saying it was approved!

Good Luck and Best Wishes!

AM in the same boat our case was transferred to CSC on 22nd Dec filed it 22nd October, had bio done 22nd dec 2010 as my appointment was not even on their books so we did a walk in after I had not heard back about a reschedule. I then received and RFE last week as they lost my medical so they have that all now and am still waiting for GC so there is no rhyme nor reason in all of this and to be expedited wishful thinking you just have to wait like all of us here it is out of our control for the most part.

Hi,

We applied for I-485, I-765 and I-131 around 08/13/2011(NOA around 08/18). We have the Biometrics scheduled tomorrow ie 09/13/2011.

We recived the letter from USCIS today (dated 09/8/2011) saying that my I-485 application is transferred to CSC to speed up the processing.

We are anxious if this is going to help or not.

We are looking for EAD first.

Ours was transferred in December 2010 (we applied in October 2010). Still nothing. Every time we call they just tell us there are no updates at this time and nothing we or they can do. It is infuriating.

April 23 2010 -- I-129f sent

April 27 2010 -- check cashed, NOA1 dated

Aug 2, 2010 -- touched

Aug 13, 2010 -- date of NOA2, I-129F approved

Aug 17, 2010 -- NVC sent application to embassy

Sept 2, 2010 -- Medical

Sept 7, 2010 -- Receive checklist from embassy

Sept 7, 2010 -- Hand-deliver packet to embassy

Sept 30, 2010 -- Receive notice of interview date
